It basically speeds up what you're doing to yourself and others second hand.

Not like a heavy smoker or a drunk would want AeroMatter to be treated any differently for saying that.
Sticking to comebacks: I am disgusted by the "you first" people. If you expect someone to make a huge commitment for the better, they might lash out telling you to do something they think is just as hard, or even impossible. People with toxic habits (like drinking or smoking) easily fit the criteria.

There was actually a petition on change.org about that...a lady was basically going to lose her job if she didn't work all day at Macy's on Thanksgiving :/

Money owns the world. Thats what most employers care only about.
Only if you got a chill and good one, they give you a day free to spend time with ur family.

My dad got the week off from Hershey. They must care about families very much, most likely. I think they'll do the same for Christmas.
I gotta rant 'bout something else now.

AeroMatter wrote:#prayfor______ and changing your profile picture on social media is an empty gesture that doesn't really change anything. The same excuse of "muh raising awareness" is used every time, but nobody is really aware of anything that's going on besides France being hit.
Raising awareness through social media is kinda bullshit, I agree. It's just so lazy to paste a flag over your profile pic on Facebook and then pretend you're some sort of LGBT ally or whatever. There's nothing wrong with the gesture an sich, but the fact that nowadays it's so easy to simply say you're "raising awareness" for a cause without actively helping means that most people will resort to the former rather than the latter. If you care about a group of people and want to support them, give them money, join them in some way, whatever. Unfortunately, these days it's easier and cheaper to do the whole raising awareness shtick, and you still obtain the same moral reassurance that you're doing the right thing. So yeah, pisses me off quite a bit.

Easy there lmao. You can't tell someone else what they do to themselves, if they want to get fucking lung cancer then let them. I can understand your concerns about it hurting others, though, and I do support a ban on smoking in most indoor public spaces. Just refrain from such aggressive rhetoric, it's not exactly helping anyone and you'd be quicker to encourage a smoker to smoke more than to smoke less with that attitude.

Black Friday: Absolutely.
Black Friday shoppers: Ehhh. From what I understand a lot of the shoppers going absolutely wild during Black Friday are rather poor, so I can understand why they go batshit when trying to obtain products that they couldn't afford otherwise. At the very least I think it's wrong to ridicule them like so many people seem to do so eagerly, it ignores the reason why these people stoop this low.

Here's some more things I hate:
- Shopping for holidays/buying presents for people
- People who think they're a fucking expert about everything, yet have very poor understanding of most things
- "Newspeak"
- Political incorrectness for the sake of political incorrectness

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this. =P
Wednesdays are also mediocre at times.

Personally I hate learning proofs (yep it's me venting about math again )
Now, a lot of you had good arguments about Algebra, and I can see how it would be useful in life. But proofs?

Firstly, if you stay up late on a Sunday, you can still get through the Monday with few hours of sleep. This isn't possible for Tuesday. My order of favourite days is as follows:
Tuesday, Thursday, Wednesday, Monday, Sunday, Friday, Saturday
Regarding proofs: It's to make sure students get behind the concept. Say, if you wanted to tell your program to draw "HURR DURR HERE'S TWO TRIANGLES THAT ARE CLEARLY CONGRUENT", how are you gonna do it if you don't know the math behind it?

I guess I see what you mean.
*potentially really stupid answer incoming*
...
But couldn't you just draw one triangle and then copy and paste it? XD

If you programmed image file recognition, sure. But if you did that, you wouldn't have the vertexes and sides of the triangle you're drawing (unless you input them by hand). It's far too limited for it to be useful.

When I was about 7 or 8, I lived in a different apartment and there were these kids who would bully me. Not once or twice, but every time I went downstairs. When I told my parents, what was their response?
"They want to play with you".
10/10 because circling me with their bikes and making fun of me is their sign that they want to play with me.
