Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Rise of Dimension X

A fan made game using the SMBX engine/editor.
NON-PROFIT. Made by a dedicated TMNT fan for fans.

(Contains a mainstreet HUB world with shops, channel 6 news building with locked doors)

PLANNED POWER-UPS

Turtles all play as link character. Being swapped depending on the level and storyline.
Casey Jones will play as Luigi or Toad, undecided.

(undecided characters)
If April O'Neil is playable, she will be the princess.
If Splinter is playable. they will be a mario or link character.


Turtle Power ups:

Tanooki Suit = Trench Coat and Fedora (Puts on mask and acts natural, letting enemies walk by)
Fairy = Ninja Flip Scroll (Wears a full head Bandana, forearms and shin wraps. Flips as a double jump)
BeamSword = Shurikens (Throws Shurikens, Wears black ninja garb)
Fireball = Fire enchantment scroll (Throws turtles respective weapon, on fire)
Iceball = Bola net (Throws a net, catching an enemy in place, tied up in a tight ball)


(More will be added as I create more and understand the program better. Please
keep in mind I am relatively new to SMBX. I am also working on other projects,
including an MMO beatem up, that takes a lot of my time. This is a side poject

tmnt is da bezt cartoon ever 10000000000/10
Judging for the screens, the design looks pretty nice and i love the HUD design, but the GFX has 1x1 pixels and it looks bad in SMBX.

There is actually a video posted above as well, if you would like to see it in motion, not just screenshots.
I get what you mean by the 1x1 border on sprites. All sprites currently use that. Perhaps in the future i will have time to touch them up and make things bolder.
When playing in fullscreen, it doesn't look as bad and with everything in 1x1, there isn't much clashing with bolder sprites elsewhere.
It is playable atm, as I said, in the future maybe I can make things 2x2. Especially if anyone is willing to help.

At the moment I am currently doing sprites for a beatem up mmo, as well as a Might Morphin Power Rangers RPG, in RPG maker VX ace... and real life :P

So, finally a episode that isn't featuring Mario cast! (Besides mine)

Well, i wish all luck you need. I encourage people that wants make something new in SMBX.

But hey, already mind a plot?

This looks REALLY cool! I don't know much about TMNT myself (especially the cartoon), but I'd love to beta test this when you get some levels finished.

Thanks for the kind words! :) I have a loose plot done up as of right now. I will post it in my main post soon when it is a bit more refined.
But for now,

Raphael is with his brothers watching April on TV, when the cable goes out. He decides to head above ground to go watch a movie in the theater. The turtles home serving as a tutorial area before you leave.
You go to leave, finding the exits have been boarded up through out the sewer, and decide to head back. On the way back, Mousers and foot soldiers are filling the sewers and the way back home collapses, along with many other places in the sewer, making it much more dangerous.

For the beginning of the game, you play as Raphael, getting above ground to NY city, to find Casey Jones and rescue his brothers.
Channel 6 news people will give hints to where secret endings for levels and tips for bosses. Along with doors throughout the main street HUB world, that require you find more "evidence" being on the HUD as a foot clan symbol.

aside from a side sewer mission involving the rat king, and planned encounters with baxter stockman through out the game. I haven't wrote much story yet past the beginning.

Thank you! :) this game is very much based on the 1989 TMNT cartoon, as well as containing characters from the first two movies.
I will post a link when i have a demo done up or something for sure, I added you as a friend so I'll let you know when it's coming out.
