So this is like, the first SMBX 1.4.1 custom level posted in this forum. Anyway I tried opening the level in PGE Editor, and guess what, even though SMBX 1.3 level file and SMBX 1.4.1 level file share the same formats, the first line in an SMBX 1.4.1 level is different. In SMBX 1.3 it was "64", in this engine it's "SMBXFile65". I guess I need to change that line to open the level in PGE, hmm...

You're damn wrong. SMBX 1.4.1, which I would not even call so because it is a total conversion of SMBX, does not share the same file format. This file format is not compatible neither with SMBX nor with PGE.

It IS a new engine! However, I must say, SMBX 1.4.1's code looks a bit more understandable for me.
Yeah, i hope Wohlstand can fix bugs in this engine, and soon we can see more stabe version, but he must connect with china guy who made this update.
Me too. I really like the look of this but right now it's such a hassle to install and run. I really like the propeller shroom, penguin suit, and frog suit that were added along with the "update". Do they require LunaLua or are they built right into the engine? Also, is this backward compatible (can I open .lvl files written from SMBX 1.3.0.1 in SMBX 1.4.1)?
