Fuck SMBX, let PGE and GhostHawk's Editor come rolling in!
I think, you missed up bit things:
- VSMBX is not compatible with original SMBX, therefore it's "like to" but everything requires re-conversions, remaking, etc to be able work correctly in VSMBX. Even when it later will support ported to C# the PGE File library which will can read/write LVL/LVLX/WLD/WLDX/SAV/SAVX/CONFIG.DAT files, it should get support of SMBX64 standard to be able correctly render SMBX's stuff (sizes, GFX-Offsets, Grid offsets, ItemID's<->algorithms'n'stuff, etc.)
- Ghosthawk now is AeroMatter

I can't figure out how to use lunaLua/dll in my levels, so I'm hoping for a winner between PGE/VSMBX with those memory hacked-in features you all do now in a new editor/engine.
Mario Maker is so limited compared to even SMBX even if it is made by Nintendo officially with no bugs. Also Mario Maker makes me want to return to SMBX.
How's that for a shameless entrance...

Hi, I've downloaded this version from the first post.
I've tried the game and create my first custom levels, is an awesome tool
But now I see LunaLUA,PGE ,VSMBX and ghosthawk editor
In the LunaDLL download page appear the SMBX 1.3.0.2 version but after install it sound doesn't work and appear: "version 1.3.0.1"
Someone can explain me the differents of these versions and which is better?

SMBX 1.3.0.2 is SMBX 1.3.0.1 with LunaLua. Since LunaLua fixes some bugs, it's better this one.

Anything released that's called "1.3.0.2" is not an official version of SMBX, and therefore not one that we can offer support for. If you downloaded it from somewhere else you should seek support from that place.

Why can't you just declare it as "official?" You keep saying that "soon we will have an official 1.3.0.2" but what are you going to really change? LunaLua should be an official extension.

There's nothing official about this website anyways; I don't understand why you don't want to offer support for an SMBX version that quite a lot of people are using these days, Joey.

Not to mention also it's been almost 3 years now since we have been told that 1.3.0.2 will happen. We really should work more together with the lua people.

A word from the "lua" people: Before we make any "offical" releases to it, we want to make LunaLua stable. I did get a lot of crash reports and I want to get that damn fixed so no one is left behind without the access to LunaLua. I appreciate the support from both talkhaus and the smbx community and want to work futher on it.

If you installed LunaLUA (Vanilia+Launcher), you will take that, because you tried to run luna-less application (to run it with lunalua use "run.bat" file).
I highly recommend you to use hexed version, because it works fine and stable.
LunaLUA-based SMBX uses OGG music and sounds in default folder, and vanilia SMBX will not understood that files. LunaLUA-based SMBX with updated audio engine understands much more music formats, has support of PNG custom sprites (instead of classic masked GIFs), OpenGL-based render, ASM-based bug fixes which fixes some famouse crashes like mushroom bug and comma-dot bug in npc.txt's.

What you guys don't understand is that we can't just replace the current download link with a Lua build of SMBX that is effectively in open beta. The current version of SMBX has seen over twenty thousand downloads. We can't just release to the masses something that has gone through no official testing process and expect everything to go okay (it very well might, or it might not, but we're not going to take the chance). In addition to that, to my knowledge there isn't a solid enough documentation yet for LunaLua to release with an official version of SMBX. The entire SMBX extension group (LunaLua, PGE, and any other stuff like that) is a bit disconnected and for an official release we would need to tie everything together more. Kevsoft, Wohlstand, and the rest of them are working hard to make sure that LunaLua/PGE/etc. reach stable and tested builds. When that happens, you can guarantee there will be a new version of SMBX that is released.

Actually, as of this post, smbx1301.exe has received 161822 downloads. Not all of those are unique, of course, but still.
The twenty thousand comment was meant to support the next sentence about releasing it to the masses. If you were developing a game, you wouldn't release the open beta as a stable version to your entire audience. It's not like we're a small group of people that are okay with having a beta released - SMBX extends to a large audience, as shown by the number of downloads, and the only versions we can release to this audience are stable and tested versions.
Also, that's a detailed documentation for sure but it's not integrated (see my part earlier about disconnect) with the rest of SMBX. At some point a centralized SMBX documentation will have to be created that includes info for everything.

Ty for the info;)
The audio problem appears only if I open the game without launcher first (for the OGG format maybe?)
For now I've encountered only a single crash, I'm very happy
The only problem is the lack of the starman:(
I'm waiting for future updates

ZIP is back up. The reason why it was taken down is because I received a fake copyright infringement claim from someone posing as an employee of Nintendo. I submitted a counterclaim and it looks like the issue has been resolved.

Glad. I accidentally downloaded a LunaDLL and it was my first, therefore corrupting my copy.
