Toadstool Island 1 review
Design & Gameplay: 4/10 (counts 70%)
This level was kind of mediocre. The level isn't fun but it's not too unfun either, it's okay for the first time, it just doesn't have replay value. It's fair but it could be like 2 minutes shorter in my opinion. The general NPC placement and variety are also decent.
The level lacked of coins way too much, there were like none aside from the bonus room. Speaking of the bonus room, some coins were unreachable there. The level is also repetitive, the parts are very similar to each other as I noticed.
Atmosphere & Visuals: 4.5/10
There is no clash in the level and the music fits well. There is also a fair amount of BGOs too.
The general atmospheric feeling is average.
There are lots of cutoffs in the level, mostly the pipes. (you should make a pipe BGO and you should place them in the ground under the pipes, so they won't leave cutoffs) There are also some broken effects, the koopa troopa shells to be exact.
Score: 4.2/10
An average level with lots of minor flaws.
