Have they fixed the item downgrade transition, or is it still immediately downgrade to small?

No they didn't, but Veudekato made that effect with LunaLua: http://www.smbxgame.com/forums/v ... 69&t=10140

Do not go around giving false hope Joey. We all know what this community is made of ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Do you mean the religious ones? Or the complainers? Or the smbx 1.4 people? The normal people? The pie haters? Meme haters?

That was broken? SMBX isn't the only game that does that.

Yeah, it's definitely on purpose, and it's based on the power-up system from Super Mario World. I remember that people suggested changing it to the SMB3 style (Fire Mario -> Super Mario) on the original forums but Redigit and others said it would make things too easy thanks to the item box, which I generally agree with for the record.

Yes, that can be changed. It comes back to people not caring about who has a staff position and, consequently, letting the staff do their jobs and not worrying about who is getting "punished". It also has to do with users following the rules and being mature so the staff doesn't have to always be the "punishers".

I've been in forums where staff aren't given a special name color or rank, and no groups are listed. Staff just act like normal users and enforce rules when they are broken.

Of course it isn't going to happen overnight. I never suggested that it would. The staff enforcing the rules is not the staff's fault - users breaking rules falls on the users.

If you're going to say something like "the staff uses fear tactics", you have to back it up.

If they weren't using any fear tactics, than we wouldn't fear them in the first place.
Where, why, and how do you fear a staff team that hardly does anything in the first place?

People could be irrational in the first place. :P

What fear tactics? Who is "we"? I haven't noticed any fear of the staff members, and we're not even that strict so why would anyone fear us?

When the SMBX con joke thread was going on, I recall you complaining about it saying the staff shouldn't be doing this and they need to do their jobs. But now you're saying you fear us? Which one is it, are we too laid back or too strict?

That's not a fear tactic. That's "you didn't listen before, so now we have to threaten punishment".

(rarely do we actually threaten bans in public, and when we do, it's justified)

I like these plans for the community. Glad these issues are being addressed.

Well, let's just say that nothing's ever perfect in any places you'll met in the surroundings. There's always something you'll see that it doesn't really look too healthy for us to deal with but if you just went away with such little issues they provide and go along with it then there shouldn't be a problem. We have staff members for a reason since they protect this place if something goes wrong or anything relative to that matter. We also have those 'Report' buttons for a reason aswell so regular members can report specific posts if a user feels that this kind of post seems that it breaks the forum rules and such.

Each community has its perks, though some of these issues shouldn't really exist if things were handled more properly. Anyways, don't forget the Good stuff that this place can have too :)

In my opinion i think we could learn a lot from other communityes like the MFGG forum, there everyone is polite and it's almost like it's a family...
...here on the other hand, i can't say the same.

We need the opposite, people here are too comfortable in this forum and it shows.

At least we're not like RVlution though.

It would be great if you could refrain from posts like this that don't really contribute in a detailed way to the topic at hand.

Anyway, AeroMatter, that isn't true. There's a difference between being comfortable (which is good) and acting immature (which is what it looks like you're getting it confused with).

I'm going to archive this thread because it won't do any good to keep it open anymore.
