I'll be going here for Sm4sh pools and maybe Melee pools as well. I'll be playing King Dedede as my main man and Duck Hunt Dog and Bowser Jr (Iggy Koopa) as my subs. For Melee I'll just be using Doctor Mario if I do join that one. Look out for me under the name of "Hello" <3

Everyone seriously thinks that meme characters (especially Shrek) will be added as playable characters, just because they get a lot of votes.
Even my friends keep telling me that they'll be added.
Didn't the ballot say that only characters from video games will be considered?
And Super Smash Bros. is not a joke game. If it was, Shrek would already be everyone's main, and this entire community would have shat themselves.
Sure, there's some internet memes snuck in here and there, but joke and meme CHARACTERS won't be accepted. And the sooner we realise this, the better.
And I'm not talking about the people who joke about it. I'm talking about the hundreds of people who legitimately think meme characters will be added.
I think I was kind of high (obviously a joke) when I wrote this post.

Who in the entire smash community would want Shrek in Smash anyways?
They should be busy thinking of a video game character that would make a great punching bag (And no, I am not talking about sandbag, I mean a lightweight character, and especially someone who is lighter then Jigglypuff which is almost impossible to happen)!

I can tell you don't know much about Melee 1 word; Pichu

They should just add in 3 more Marios and call it a day.
I have never seen a person who genuinely wanted a joke character like Shrek or whatever to be added into the Smash roster. Please, tell me where I can find such people.

I didn't even think the original post through. No-one GENUINELY wants a joke character. Sorry for making such a big deal of this.
Anyway, changing the topic, I hope Nintendo adds more N64 stages as DLC! Especially Yoshi's Island. That was my favourite N64 stage.
(In reply to Vinyl Scratch since the device I'm using dosen't have good flash.)
I was born during the year it was released and thus, I never knew about the series until a friend of mine showed me Brawl.
I wish I was able to go back into the 2000s though....

Well basically Pichu was one of, if not THE weakest character in the game. (Only rivaled by Kirby for weakest). He's also the only character in the entire Smash series to be lighter than Jigglypuff.
Pichu is honestly not that bad a character. He's obviously a low tier and being hurt by his own attacks and having no range sucks, but at least most of his moveset is actually usable, unlike a lot of the other low tier characters. He's outclassed by Pikachu in virtually every way, but he can still do a lot of stuff that makes Pikachu a pretty good character.
Although It is pretty obvious that all cut veterans won't have any chance of appearing due to the rest of the dlc characters will be "fan based" characters, which means that it is all up to the results of the insane Fighter ballot....
I heard that Pichu was cut because he (or she) is no longer needed for Smash.

Pichu IS that bad. He's the lightest character in the entire game series while also being bodied by the majority of the cast (and having an even matchup by only a literal couple). All of his kill moves involve the use of any of his electric attacks as well. And since you're light you're gonna be flying a lot. The only way he can get back on stage without hurting himself is skullbash or jumping. If you use quick attack you're hurting yourself even more. Also Pichu's death percent is at like 40%. It even says in his trophy description he's best to be used whenever you want to handicap yourself. Pichu was made that bad on purpose.
I know that he was made bad on purpose, but there are characters who were made worse not on purpose. Hurting himself with his attacks and recovery sucks, but at least he has some sort of approach options what with his running speed and quick aerials. His n-air is actually considered a pretty good move, and other than that he has very similar combo and killing options to Pikachu.
I partook in another wifi tourney and took second place o: I gotta learn the MegaMan matchup better lol. Still satisfied with the placing; not every day a newbie to the competitive scene takes 1st in his first tourney then 2nd in his second tourney xP
On the 19th I'll be competing in my first local at my university. Pretty excited x3

WiFi tournies are very different from the real thing. Hopefully you did the Smash Ladder tourney and not Wii U's actual tourney though.
So I finally got Lucas, Mewtwo and Roy (our boy). I don't know why, but even if I got Ryu, I'd probably never use him, and I'll (eventually) only buy him so I can get his stage.
