Wooly Yoshis

Hi! I'm new here, and am loving all the custom graphics you guys have made. So, I decided to try some of my own. In honor of Yoshi's Woolly World, here are some woolly Yoshis!

Hmm. Woolly Yoshis might be difficult to design in SMBX.

The problem with diagonal "checkerboarding" like this is that even though one means to simply draw diagonal lines, it could come out instead looking like it's just an in-between shade of a specific color. I look at this current one from far away, and it looks like a regular Yoshi to me.

One thing about wool is that I don't think it would shine as much.

Yeah, I was worried about that. As for the shine, I eliminated the white on Yoshi's nose.

They don't really looks wooly...they look more like they were saved using Paint's GIF compression.

Yeah, they're not very good. I might remake 'em sometime.

I'm sorry for ressurecting an old topic, but I have a suggestion for if you want to retry these- remove the black outlines.

Well, I don't mean flat out remove. I'd say you should make them a softer color than the pixels they are tied to, giving a less edgy look and a more soft look.
(For instance, the black outlines around yoshi's eyes could be changed to a light gray.)

Just a suggestion.
