Yukkuri?

Since I've been unable to make a Touhou episode with the full-bodied girls, I was thinking... Would custom Yukkuri sprites be much easier to draw than full-bodied anime girls? If that's the case, I suppose I could think up an episode with lots of different Yukkuri as enemies. This is NOT a request, I'm just confirming whether it's possible or not BEFORE I make the actual request.

As for Shidomaru, ofc it's possible, but not necessarely easier as it's still a lot of work. The question remains on who is willing to make tons of sprites for you, not what kind of sprites they are.

Hmmm, I see... I thought the Yukkuri's round shape would be easier to make as a Mario enemy as opposed to a humanoid shape... In that case, I will not make the request nor the episode.

If you want it, you'd either have to PM someone or do it yourself. You aren't allowed to make threads for requests.

Last time I checked there was a subforum specifically to make graphic requests, but now it's gone. I suppose they deleted it for some reason.

And I wasn't requesting. I was consulting whether a round Yukkuri would be easier to draw than a humanoid anime girl shape, which Marina just said is not. I was checking BEFORE taking the decision to whether make the project or not. As wise as your advice may be, it is useless, because I've already confirmed the project is not viable and therefore I'm not going to work on it.

- People were requesting crazy graphics. The underlying problem is that usually these people don't have much experience actually designing levels. If you can't make a good level with the thousands of graphics that already exist, you need to work on your level design skills.

I guess requesting Touhou graphics really IS requesting crazy graphics... I'm a bit offended at the part where he says the requesters lack level design skill >:/ I don't know about the others, but I requested crazy graphics because I've been watching anime for over a decade and my brain is full of that shit! Not because I lack level design skills! ...Then again, my case is pretty unique and it makes sense that he didn't contemplate it. Besides, he's saying USUALLY, so I'm hoping he's aware that lack of level design skills is not always the case.

Just in case anyone doubts my level design skills, you can find a link to my Mega Mario Bros. episode in my signature and check for yourself. It's not professional-quality design (it's my experimental first episode), but at least it's way above most joke levels.

I think by crazy he meant stuff a typical newbie would request like a Sonic playable or somethibg cliché like that. Those people are inexperienced in level making most of the time.
Your problem is really that you need a lot of situational, unconventional graphics, and finding someone who would be willing to take that giant request is very hard, which is why the thread would be deserted eventually. And since the request forum had a lot of these threads it was eventually put away. It's sad but it's true :/
