A Way to Inactivate Levels Once Completed?

Postby rshell78 » Thu Apr 03, 2014 9:10 am

Is there a way to inactive a level once it has been completed?

For example, I am putting mushroom houses in my world map but I don't want the player to be able to keep entering the same mushroom house and pick whatever item they want.

I read through the manual and watched a couple youtube vids, but I didn't see any mention of this.

Thanks.

That's impossible to do with the world map alone. You could force the player to grab a SMW star after getting the goods in the Mushroom House and make the Star make the goods disappear. This way if the player tries to re-enter the house, the Star's death will immediately hide the goods.

Perfect. That will work just fine. I like the idea that the player can go back into the mushroom house but everything is gone rather than the mushroom house blowing up or not being able to be entered again.

Thanks.
