Nostalgic things!

Postby Ecruteak » Sat Jul 18, 2015 3:42 am

Here I am again. So what things make you die of nostalgia if you think of them or re-experience them?

Make a list, and if you want, write an explanation for some of them.

Here's mine:
Windows XP (especially the startup and shutdown sounds, since it was my first OS)
Club Penguin (A game where you waddle around as a penguin and explore and interact with others)
Poptropica (A game where you run around different islands, solving mysteries and doing puzzles)
Super Mario 63 (A flash game that's basically like a 2D Super Mario 64. I find it nostalgic because I found it as a kid and played the hell out of it, every free second I had)
New Super Mario Bros. DS (I played a hacked version at a relative's house once, and they had all these cheats on it. I got the game after we left and was slightly disappointed that the cheats weren't on the game I had. What I didn't know back then was that the relative had an R4.)
This green army men game that I had on a PlayStation as a kid. Does anyone know the name of it? You ran around these different places and fought this blue army.

I probably have more, but these are all I remember. I'd like to hear YOUR nostalgia-vomit!

-Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut & 2 Battle were the 2 Sonic Adventures that were released on the GameCube. I enjoyed playing both games. The Story Modes and Chao Gardens were the best parts and the parts I remember having the most fun.

-Windows XP was (and will always be) the best OS I've ever got, though it's the only one besides Windows 8 (the OS I'm using right now). I used to have so many things on it, but it began to slow down when I overdownloaded things (I was young and didn't knew the concepts of virus, slow PCs or something like that). So yeah.

-Mario Kart 64, Super Smash Bros. Melee, New Super Mario Bros., Super Mario 64 DS, Crash Bandicoot, Silicon Valley and a racing game for the PS1 in which you can play as a variety of animals (IDK if it's called Crazy Racers or something like that) were the games that introduced me to gaming. These games have a place in my heart for that specific reason.

-Wrestling Toys. I remember when I was a bigger fan of wrestling than I am today. My parents had to buy me toys and accessories to make my fantasy matches and Pay-Per-Views. And it was that way. Nowadays, I look up into wrestling but not as excited as I was back then.

Schoolhouse Rock - These videos were my whole CHILDHOOD, and they're pretty much the reason why I'm so good at multiplication and grammar :3

Volcano Island - This was a GameCube game based off of Nickelodeon shows, and one of my first games EVER. I could never get very far in it though :(

Super Mario Flash - I used to mess around with the level editor here a lot, WAAAAAY before I found out about SMBX.

Nick GAS - A Nickelodeon sub-channel that mostly consisted of a bunch of game shows for kids to play. Too bad Nickelodeon had to be scrubs and replace it with Nick at Nite >:C

Kappa Mikey - An amazing kids' show that was a mix of cartoons and anime. It sucks that it was taken off the air :(

Donkey Kong Jungle Climber - One of my first DS games. It's INCREDIBLY underrated, probably because it's pretty challenging for a Donkey Kong game. 8 years later and I still haven't beaten the final boss :(

Mario Party 8 - My first Wii game (besides Wii Sports lel) and my favorite Mario Party game. I'm still baffled as to why people didn't like it :S

There was this dog puppet with no whites in its eyes and it was just barking at me and I was like 3 and I started crying.
