I don't think the requests should be archived. If a request is too much, one should just ignore it to send a message or tell them it is too big. Also, the request template is unfortunate but it doesn't really matter to a majority of people I believe (I do not know this but I believe that it is true). I haven't seen any opposition to the requests subforum, so I kind of get the feeling this is Joey (and possibly Valtteri) taking his feelings on a certain object or behavior and making it the rules, out of anger at the new rules not being followed, irregardless of that showing whether or not the requests forum needs to be removed. I don't like cursing, but on supermario12345.prophpbb.com, I'm not making it against the rules even though I'm an admin.

I have an idea: use the splash page to advertise each new installment of the newsletter.

That's a terrible idea, resignations shouldn't be so frequent that they require a whole section. The rest is the staff's business anyway.

Out of curiosity, what's stopping us from having HTML5 YouTube <video> tags instead of flash?
I personally don't have the flash plugin installed for the main browser I use(out of preference), and it gets a bit annoying when I have to open Internet Explorer or another browser in order to view embedded YouTube videos in a thread with flash. I'd think flash is outdated by now for such things.
However I'm aware that this might be having to do with how the forum's software is coded/something backend.*shrug*

to be fair this is a useless post. If you're just gonna say "no", you can do that by PM.

I don't see why they should be above all rules - after all, if a staff member were to spam the forums, he'd certainly have to face the consequences. Besides, the staff are supposed to be a role model for other users, and posts like those aren't helping.

Yeah, these types of posts just want to make us spam this forum!
Anyway, get back on-topic. Oh wait... this is on-topic...

Is it just me or did the quality of posts from some members get really worse. Like they make really *cough* dumb posts and also get away with that way to easily.
