Zelda is,in my opinion,the COOLEST Nintendo character of ALL TIME,althogh I hate the way they portrayed her in LOZTMC,she was bad ass in all other Zelda games,and unlike peach,she can actualy defend herself!Twice she prevented Gannon from getting the triforce,First in the original LOZ and again in OOT.And that's how I got my forum avatar.

Yeah I really appreciate that Zelda is used as a character beyond someone who needs to be saved. Similar characters don't tend to be written like that. It's too bad she sucks in Smash.

Nah, she objectively sucks from a competitive standpoint. Farore's Wind reappearance is pretty much a parlor trick that's very easy to avoid once you know it exists. Her other kill moves like f-air and b-air (the lightning kicks) are powerful but unreliable at best, and she has zero mobility options besides Farore's Wind, which has a set and predictable distance and can be punished if the opponent is close enough. Din's Fire is useless against shields and is overall a terrible projectile, and the phantom armor attack is too slow to be useful and can even be broken, rendering it temporarily useless.

She does have a few combo obtains like down tilt and down throw, but they stop working at damages where they'd be really useful on most characters.

That said, I encourage you to continue playing her and taking her as far as possible, she can be a very fun character.
