Please HELP! Sound problems

Postby SMBXxer » Mon Feb 17, 2014 7:45 pm

Today is the release date of Demo 1 for my project. So I went to test it out and the sound worked fine, but when I went into a pipe(world map), the map sound was gone! I went into it again but it was still gone. I have all the music tiles on the world map too, Please Help!

Restart SMBX and try again. Does the problem persist?

That's the thing though, I have restarted and tried to fix it but it still does it. But when I beat the level NEXT to the pipe the music plays again, but if I go into the pipe again the music stops.

It's a glitch in SMBX. I discovered it in "return to yoshi's island" too.
try to change the music when you arrive in the area of the pipe in the world map or delete the music in that area.

I changed it from SMW Theme to SMW Island, But it did the same thing. Please help.
Edit: Would it work if I put the music tile NEXT to the pipes?

I think the solution can be this. If you are loading too many custom graphics at once and it happens constantly throughout SMBX (especially Episodes and maybe Level Hubs), the whole game is not perfectly loading the Sound and Music Files. If you are reloading SMBX, everything is back to it's Normal State. Use less Custom Graphics on a SMBX Episode or do not play a SMBX Episode for too long while there are a lot of Custom Graphics. If that is not helping the solution then let me think about the problematic registration on the Sounds...

Sorry for the late reply. The thing is that I'm most likely in the list of SMBX users with the LEAST amount of custom GFX in their project :(

If you give us the world map we can know your problem.

It's a glitch in SMBX. Make a warp transition level like in SMB3 and the music will play correctly on the map.

What do you mean warp transition?

Never played Super Mario Bros. 3? Warp transition levels are everywhere in that game.
A warp transition level is basically a very short level where you start coming out of a pipe and have to get to the other pipe. Each pipe represents one place on the world map. If you enter any pipe, the level will end and you're warped to that place on the world map.
Here is an example for such a warp transition level.

Does it happen even if you put music tiles on the pipes themselves?
