I love this episode! Sadly, the only reason I wasent able to countinue was because level 2 was EXTREMELY laggy. I would apreciate if someone would fix this, either way, Great episode!

Was it because of a lot of the SMB2 Sparky (or any enemies that can climb on walls and cealings) on the Screen? That's sadly a unavoidable error in SMBX if you have a lot of blocks and other objects going around in a Level like that. Make sure your "Disable Frameskip" was ticked before you enter either the "Start Game" or the "Level Editor". This is what I'm always doing to prevent from skipping Frames just from lag but makes the game slower during framerate Drops after I ticked "Disable Frameskip".
Gotta say, this is surely one hell-a interesting game. I expected it to be a lame reboot of the original's gimmick of just 1 room puzzles, but this is a lot more indepth. As for the checkpoints...that is a genius way to create a checkpoint

I hope you like it. Honestly, it was one of the best SMbX episodes to exist? Am I right about that?

Thank you for the comment! This is actually not a sequel to Super Mario Enigmatic, but a whole different episode. Are you by any chance recording this time?
I must say, this is quite an interesting game. Sucks though cus I could only make one episode so far. Ill try to record more tomorrow when I get off work.
2 new adventure levels and 2 new boss fights:
- Shivery Sleet (a Joyful snow level with some ice cave sections)
- The Tabernacle (The unholy temple of the Masks, where eerie waters now fill the deepest sections of the area)
A main hub level:
- Subconopolis (a Casino area for fast travel to the parts of the world you have already explored, plus mini-challenges a´la Super Mario Enigmatic where you can earn Stars. And for those who have collected all stars in the game, a sinister secret awaits in the basement)
New sections added to existing levels. Garden Guardian Meros is now joined by his faithful pal Garden Assistant Cantaloupe, and the fight is completely redesigned.
Five hidden stars around the world. It is now possible to skip two stars and still be able to enter the Grueling Grotto. However, collecting all stars in the game grants a significant advantage in the final level and the final boss fight.
I want to like this game...I really do. It looks beautiful and is creative. But it is just so god damn confusing that I barely even want to play it after like 5 minutes. I would have to say your other episode was a lot more fun compared to this so far in terms of actual replayability
These Metroid/Castlevania kind of games are not everyone's cup of tea. Maybe it'll feel less confusing after you've passed the first rooms and have gotten used to the game. Can't promise that though. I don't expect people to read all my ramblings, but perhaps skipping the NPCs that were giving you instructions in the beginning was not the best thing to do.
On another note, the expansion is progressing very nicely.

Oh theres an Expansion coming out, coolio. Well I originally got stuck on the 3rd star. Was incredibly annoyed cus I can barely rainbow-ride, you're forced to do it correctly without fail, and get cherries apparently while doing it. I didnt even know about the cherries cus I was pressing keys trying to rainbow-ride. Just...annoying little spot.
The expanded episode is going to enter beta testing phase in seven to ten days. I already have two testers, but a few more would not hurt. If you are interested, send me a pm, please.
The first parts of my series to this. While I admit, this game is well-past the point of confusing, it is still a well designed game. Taking SMBX: SEW's structure and expanding on it was quite a shock to me, and although confusing as shit I would have to say this was well executed. Just..confusing as of right now.
I do hope everyone enjoys..despite the minor "complaints" I do genuinely enjoy the game. Subscribbles for more, and suggest anything else of interest.
The episode is now ready for beta testing and depending on how it goes, we might have it out as soon as next week! And now for the final list of the additions this expansion will have:
- Star count increased from 9 to 26
- Two new adventure worlds
- One central hub
- Transfer system for easier travel around the world
- 6 mini challenges a´la Super Mario Enigmatic with 2 screens each
- All wall climbing enemies replaced to eliminate lag
- Loads of new areas added to the existing worlds
- Removed much of the episode's linearity, in addition you only need 23 stars to complete the episode
- A secret awaits those who can find all the stars
- Gameplay improvements in all areas
