from time to time Minecraft can be fun and soothing and relaxing(and addictive as F***)

but when u get a Txture pack that plays this track:

Listen to this Track from the Texture pack I use,(Ozocraft and SMP Revival)

TELL me does that not creep you out?

Track 1-Ambient cave sound 6

Track 2-Ambient Cave sound 3

I'm gonna make an attempt to revive the thread.

I remember one of my friends used to have Windows 3.1 and we'd spend hours playing the pre-installed games, mostly SkiFree. I'm honestly surprised that the Abominable Snowman from that game hasn't been mentioned yet! That scared us Shrekless.

Dead Hand. From Oot. Re-Dead confused me more than scared me. Also the easter egg in the original Animal Crossing that would take away your face and replace it with the generic gyroid face freaked me the fuck out.

Does anyone remember the "I'm outta here" easter egg in Sonic CD where he would jump off the screen and cost you an instant game-over if you waited too long? That startled me when I was a kid. I remember I went to get some biscuits as a kid, then coming back to the game just in time to see Sonic suicide.

^ That's pretty damn creepy. I know that if I was a kid, that'd really freak me the hell out.

My scary moment was when, in Kirby 64, if you get the bad ending, the Queen's (a protagonistic side character) eyes turn black after a seemingly happy ending, and suddenly a scary chord plays. That's it. Jesus, it's giving me chills just typing about it.

Why? They're not real.

I'd say that the thing about creepypastas that make them so scary (for me at least) is that they play on a subconscious fear that maybe the things that they are describing could possibly be real. It's the same reason that at night, if I'm in my bedroom and the entire house is dark, sometimes I fear that if I open my door, some scary thing will be waiting for me on the other side. Rational? Hell freaking no. Scary, or at least creepy? Yeppers. With creepypastas, the idea is that even though they aren't real, your mind still somewhat thinks that it's real and that the scary thing in the creepypasta could actually happen, no matter how many times you tell yourself "It's just a stupid story." You're lucky, though, because you don't have a stupid brain that loves to scare you all the time. :P

Three words: Scary Maze Face.

I wonder if it still scares me to this day.

Oh yeah, that bad ending was really freaky. The bad ending to Kirby's Dream Land 2 was similar too; Kirby and the animal friends walk home, but everything's cloudy and depressing. And then at the end, an image of the final boss Dark Matter is shown (alongside the rest of the "enemy roll call", you know) but listed as "???", and Kine looks up like he knows something's still wrong.

Now that you mention that, I'm starting to realize that in general, Kirby could be very creepy. There were even some enemies (in just about all the games) that looked really happy at first, and then suddenly transformed into a 1-eyed, sickly ravenous version of themselves that would chase after you (I think they were something like Laffies?). Not that creepy now, but certainly scary when I was little. Also, the true final boss of Kirby 64 had you shooting glass into his bleeding eye.

"For kids!"

Those were called "Scarfies" and yes, they did scare me a bit as a kid.

And does anyone remember the "Catacombs" stage in Kirby 64? It sure had some terrifying music.

I have another scary moment from childhood. Remember in Yoshi's Island? WARNING- Spoilers ahead.
Spoiler: show
In Baby Bowser's Castle, remember the message block in front of Tap-Tap the Golden? That was creepy as shit. RUN AWAY, HURRY! , it said. Telling you to run from something you didn't know about? Creepy.

I have a basement that gets nearly pitch-black at night unless the basement bathroom light is on. Also, I've seen and been scared shitless by many a jumpscare. The Tails Doll theories and other creepypastas I've read still make me paranoid to this day. But if you challenge me to a creepypasta ritual I can actually do, I can do it. Come on, throw one at me, I DARE YOU... No, seriously, I do.

Dungeon Guardians. Why you shouldn't ignore the Old Man's advice. I remember on the console edition that some attacked me and my cousin while we were fighting the Eater of Worlds in a chasm.
