I still need Super Mario Maker.
I still plan to get Super Mario Maker.

I really love how Super Mario Maker is shaping up.
There's a lot you can do without having to sit and program and learn a bunch of coding.
SMBX has things about it that are cool, but when i think of something i want to do, i feel blocked by my lack of knowledge and my inability to comprehend programming.

SMM on the other hand has it's pros about it that i love.
Only thing frustrating me about SMM, is the lack of options for customized graphics.

I will say this.
Those NES SMB1 styled graphics like the thump and bob-omb and boos are pretty spot on to what they made in SMM.
And for those saying there would not be outlines, why not check out videos of SMM in action, he has got them pretty accurately.
Go watch YouTube videos of Nintendo Treehouse playing SMM and you will see just how accurately he has the boos and thumps and even bob-ombs.
Also you can just as well look at these, and see that Nintendo has done outlines on SMB1 styled graphics before as well

I'm comparing it to what Nintendo has ACTUALLY done.
You missed the damn point entirely.
And he is doing good, it's spot on and rather accurate.
But of course in a thread like this, people feel a need to nitpick things to death, even when really nothing is wrong.
None of you can just look at something and just go "hey man good job!" no you have to scan over things and even if there is nothing wrong with it, you try and make it seem like something is.
I know how it is, i been down that road, and it's frustrating.
I realize what the thread is for, but if something is good, it's good.
You tell them they did good, and move on with your day.. not nitpick shit and do your best to find something wrong that does not even exist.
I used to show off my work with RPG Maker to RPG Maker communities until it became clear that they were doing that sort of crap.
Finding things wrong that do not exist.
I got complaints for having outlines for my charterers who were high res, but it was a personal choice and an art style.
They realized this, and still gave me shit.
A case of looking for something wrong where nothing IS wrong.
In this case, we find someone who is being accurate, and still someone pops up somewhere and HAS to FIND something wrong or make it up.

Actually what? At what point were they attacking h2643? They were simply saying that Nintendo didn't do the best job when it came to making those enemies (who were never in SMB1) fit the style well. They are very out of place.
I mean, if h2643 needed defending he would probably do it himself, and if he wanted help he would ask for it. Plain and simpleinb4 scolded for this but its the witching hour and i don't really care

all we were doing was giving him criticism, no harm was done, until you came out of the blue and started to talk in greentext. all I said was no need to give him lines of text stating why his GFX was a bit off, it's a sprite rip Jez stop taking everything too seriously.

@Sirius: That's a pretty good downgraded Version of SMB3! =P Good work on that especially that you even used those metal blocks to SMB rather than SMB3. Hopefully you'll make more of These since it's pretty interesting as of how it would look as a downgraded Version of the original concept as of what Nintendo did.
