England is terrible believe me.

Is there some only-locals-will-notice-this thing I'm missing? Or is it the "homeland hate" thing I also have since I really hate Germany from time to time? My impressions of England, like I said, are all but negative, and I like spending my time there.

Perhaps. I don't hate my country; I really enjoy living here, but after living in it you realise that it's actually not "great" (haha pun Great Britain).
I'm putting the rest under a cut because I don't want to clutter the thread.

London is definitely the nicest place I've been here (however even places in the London district are stricken with poverty), as well as Leeds in Yorkshire, but the rest of the country is either a farm or a town full of old people, thugs, people who claim money from the government because they're too lazy to work and spend the money on cigarettes, beer, tattoos etc.
Up north, there are neo-nazis who scream at every non-white or non-English person they see (when in fact in places like Yorkshire there is a huge arab/asian population so most of them were BORN here and ARE British. The NHS is severely understaffed, so expect to spend 4 hours waiting to see a doctor. We have a broken society of welfare dependency, teenage pregnancy and dysfunctional families.
Our education system is extremely good, however they keep fucking changing it. I would go into detail but I don't want to go even more off topic.
However, even though our country is SO flawed, I wouldn't move out of it.

London is where everything is. Literally. The population of London is nearly the population of Sweden itself, so it's crowded every day and getting a job there is a nightmare. I went to a small McDonald's near the Royal Courts of Justice and it was INCREDIBLY crowded, the kitchen was a nightmare and the people serving me didn't speak English too well. This wasn't even in summer or around holiday time. It was 2pm in the middle of March.

Sorry if I completely turned anyone off, I like ranting about this country.

Oh, and as a bonus, search "The Jeremy Kyle Show" on YouTube. The people on there basically represent our country.

Ah I see. I've only ever been to Canterbury, London and Oxford myself, so it looks like I've only scratched the surface of the problems this country has. The clutter in London, at least last summer, wasn't too bad, in my opinion. Now that you mention it, I did notice run-down parts of the country. Especially northern london wasn't appealing to me.

But I think, Great Britain has the problem to be a centralist state whether it doesn't want to be such a state. The most people outside the UK aren't interested in places there except the capital of europe, London.

I meant that London has the most influence into Europe and it's the most visited european city so that you can call it "Capital of Europe" anyway. ^^

Here in Germany the UK is very popular.
Many people (especially girls) wear T-Shirts, bags or something like else with the union jack on it.
Almost everyone in my class wants our school to do a trip to London and not to german cities
