The problem is the riots were initially caused by the police brutality in the killings of several black (or if you want me to be politically correct, African-American) men across the states, pretty much all of them were confirmed innocent, and two of the killings were even caught on camera to prove that the men were innocent; one of the killings I'm talking about should be pretty obvious, I don't remember the name of the guy or where it was but it was during a traffic stop. The second killing was of a black homeless man after a dispute with another homeless person, I don't remember where it was exactly but it was filmed as well. The only black man that was killed that I still debate whether he was innocent or not is Michael Brown, but other than that, I believe that most of the black men that are getting killed by the police these past few months were all innocent.
I can understand the earlier parts of the riots being outrage over the police brutality, but ever since the gangs got involved it all went to shit and they're now using it as an excuse to commit any crime they want, which puts everyone else, being the people who are actually protesting against the police and not destroying property or robbing stores, in a really bad light.
