Permission to Post

Why do people need permission to post something in the "What would you like to see" thread? The staff allow any kind of posts anyway, there's no actual reason to change the permissions.

Before the permission feature was enabled on that thread, some users were making spammy/off-topic and rude posting, therefore the staff need to to have it pending before they can actually put it into the thread so they'd also look over it before the public could see. Answer your question?

No, what Kep said isn't true.

This is a phpBB bug that has to do with the root forum of global announcements. I'm not sure if it can be fixed but we'll work on it. For now, just go to the announcement topic through the General forum (or another forum, I don't think it matters) rather than a search-based page (view unread posts, etc.).
