I am very very excited Yoshibrothers.

I have a bad feeling that Mewtwo is going to be trash tier like he is in Melee though. That would be really unfortunate. His aerials do seems to be improved a bit at least so that's good, but it does worry me.

THANK GOD SOMEONE FINALLY AGREES. Take that, Smashboards! I told them Mewtwo was trash in melee and I got 2 warnings from two different moderators for being "offensive".

Dat throw though... I remember spamming that constantly, and it was pretty powerful.

I wouldn't encourage spamming moves in any Smash. In my opinion it makes the player look bad because they don't(or seem not to) know how to truly play competitively. That and it can be annoying as hell.

Also, I'd like to note that in terms of the Smash Ballot, word has been spreading that both Shovel Knight(then again I got my sources partially from reddit) and King K. Rool are quite possibly among the highest voted characters out there right now, and I gotta say I like where this is going. While I love the two characters, I gotta say Rool has it in the bag(not to mention that various Smash forumbases, most notably Smashboards, seem to rule in his favor). I also said I wanted a new DK rep from the start, and King K. Rool is a perfect character to throw in that slot.

Mewtwo is objectively trash in Melee, though. It was probably the terminology you used or whatever that got you warned. Anyone (knowledgeable) on that site would know that he's on the bottom end of the tier list.

I really wish that were the case, more than it being me telling literally a bunch of Mewtwo fanboys my opinion of Mewtwo, in the Mewtwo topic, which literally caused a bunch of whiny users to lash out at me. If you have never gone to Smashboards for an extensive period, you wouldn't know how bad people can really be, ESPECIALLY the Mewtwo or Ridley fanbases.

I've been there for 2-3 weeks (I use the name Kyogokudo btw) and didn't notice anything...but that's due to me mainly being on Ganondorf board. I suppose there's quite an huge difference between us Ganon mains and other players, like that Mewtwo fanbase. Ganondorf mentality ftw
Oh and the update is coming on 4 AM here in Europe. Sucks that I'll only be able to test it after 1 PM. First thing I'll probably do is checking a few things with Ganon and looking at the replay sharing system. And I really hope they'll let us post replays on Youtube this time.

Well TBH you probably shouldn't be talking shit about Mewtwo in their own topic/forum section.

I was giving my opinion. I went and gave reasons why I wasn't into Mewtwo. They were fine with everything until "and that is why I think he's trash tier". AND BAM! The freakout occurred. Its been bugging me lately how a single negative opinion stirs up a group of people who have the exact opposite opinion. Every person is free to have an opinion, and if they can't handle that then they'd might as well leave the internet because they clearly can't take an opinion they don't like. Its like grow up, please.

Well, maybe not actually spamming it. I'd hit the opponent a few times first, then use it almost every time, and it often resulted in a KO. I played as Mewtwo a lot because of that throw, though I'm honestly not particularly hyped for his return in this game. Nothing against it, I just don't particularly care very much either way. I'll probably get the DLC anyway though.

Y'all be haters

Mewtwo is the next best Shulk because he has AMAZING range AND projectiles. I'm maining him now because he's actually that good. His tail slaps are a bit more powerful than you'd expect.

Disclaimer, I haven't used Mewtwo myself yet.

However, while he appears to have a great offensive presence now from what I've heard and seen, he's incredibly light, even more so than in Melee, to the point of being the second lightest character in the game. I guess he could be a glass cannon and not terrible like (my Smash waifu) Jigglypuff, but it worries me.

I've been playing Mewtwo for a little bit now, and I can say that he is a powerful fighter, albeit somewhat slow and floaty. This isn't an issue, however, because he is lovable all the same.

There is a rumor going around that there may be even more Smash DLC characters coming than Lucas and the Ballot Fighter. Someone who has data mined the sm4sh games before had done so for the recent smash update and found sound files for Lucas, which is expected, but he also he also found two interesting sound files:

-One file is named under Roy, and it has the Fire Emblem victory theme
-The other file is named under Ryu, and it has a Street Fighter theme, supposedly a victory theme

This could most likely indicate that Roy is returning from Melee and Ryu is joining the fight. If this rumor is true, then what is your reaction to this?

Roy and Ryu?
I would say that i would like roy if he had a different moveset from marth and all, and ryu... another 3rd party, that was in street fighter... either way i would like that... maybe they are the ballot fighters?
Is is interesting to say the least.

...Am I the only person that thinks that Bill Rizer (the protagonist in Contra) would make a good character?

Ryu would be cool, too.

I believe I used the tail slappage in melee too, as well as his equivalent thing to Lucario's aura sphere. Also, the main reason I kind of like Shulk is because he is the Darude-Memestorm of smash. He's really feeling those memes.
Turtwig, whose drumming profile image I preferred more, but oh well, I guess he stopped because his arms would probably fall of if he didn't wrote:...Am I the only person that thinks that Bill Rizer (the protagonist in Contra) would make a good character?

I know very little about either of those two, so that's something. Smash is pretty much the only fighting game I've ever really played, and I play the heck out of it, assuming it had any in it to begin with. I think it just had a lack of Banjo and Kazooie, which will hopefully be fixed. :|

They are not the ballot fighters, as the ballot fighter(singular) will be the video game character who gets the most votes in the ballot.
*cough* King K. Rool *cough*

Also I bought Majora's Mask because whatever.
