PGE editor by Wohlstand (it's compatibile with SMBX and LunaDLL+LunaLua too)
Visual SMBX by GhostHawk (it's not compatibile with SMBX and LunaDLL but there's going to be a converter as i know)

One thing noting that we are fixing bugs.
Like the decimal bug, where you couldn't write decimal in the npc-*.txt or just improving the overall audio engine (SDL_Mixer).

I already know this 
However, new engines won't ever capture the feeling of SMBX as it is today, at least feels-wise.

VSMBX will have a similar layout to SMBX, if not a carbon copy, so looks are of no problem to me 
Sure, but what about the gameplay? New gravity mechanics, powerups and such will be cool, but it won't feel the same.

The only thing that would certainly annoy me is an overuse of bob-ombs. I hate those buggers to death.

See I hate the SMB2 ones, because they are a lot more volatile, there may not be Albatoss' in SMBX, but the SMB2 Bob-Ombs are still quite annoying. The Shotgun Vase level from the invasion 2 made my mind up.
The other thing I hate is people putting the Climbable fences on moving layers.

Doesn't that make the Player move on its own? Maybe that could be used as a High Winds type of level or maybe not

no moving fence gates don't make the player move, the fence gates move but the player (even if hes on the fence gates) doesn't move

I'm not going to lie, every time I can tell any element in a graphic/level/episode was informed by SMBX capabilities (a round block becoming square, some enemy that is missing frames, a player graphic that has a wonky hitbox or is squished) I kind of internally scream. This isn't a reasonable thing to be concerned about, I know. It just does.

Ohhhh yeah, now HERES a thread thats enjoyable. What i hate? I hate people who record and give themselves god mode and hammer suits. i also hate KAZIO and JOKE levels. And i get really mad when i just see levels that are just: 7 boom booms at the same time.

I can somewhat agree with the Kaizo part adn DEFINITELY the Joke Levels there a waste of everyones time,
now from what i can gather im pretty sure BossEditor doesnt use cheats, but Wraith, meh, maybe at least donthurtme on "tier 1 type levels" or a "flaw" in the level other than they both their best.

Maybe that explains why I can never beat his levels in ToB...
I pretty much *ahem* "skip" the First tier no questions asked Donthurtme is on
Tier 2 is a maybe

1. When people use custom music that shouldn't fit, but does. (Sakke's level for the 1st Community Contest is a prime example.)
2. Dying on the same level multiple times because of the way the person designed the stage, not the actual difficulty of the level
3. RANDOM MISH-MASH OF BLOCKS AND GRAPHICS THAT ARE IN A POORLY DESIGNED LEVEL......
