OK, I'm gonna admit it now, this was an April Fools joke. The project isn't finished yet because I've had more important things to do such as college and real-life matters.
Someone move this back to Projects or do whatever they want with it, but don't delete it.
OK, now that the April Fools business around this topic has died out and I've admitted it, this is gonna continue more seriously. Why not continue with a new screenshot?

I plan to come back to this in the very near future. Right now I have two Nostalgia Classics levels announced, Pwnhammer and Pyramid of Fail, and I have room for one more. I'm being kind by letting you vote, so here's the poll, which will also be posted on the front page.

Thanks for the positive feedback! If you've played the original, then this is going to be a massive blast from the past for you.
Anyway, back to the voting phase itself - 1 day left to vote for the final level! This is it, guys, which level has got the most votes at the end of the voting phase will make it into the episode!
You may have been wondering what is going on with this project. Don't worry, it's still going strong, but I would like to share an announcement with you.
SMBX 2.0, as you fully know well, has been confirmed. New characters are being included, along with a ton of new stuff with LunaLua. As you all know, this project started out life on SMBX 1.3.0.1 lacking LunaLua. The reason I went that route is because not everyone has it, and it would be a hassle for people to have to get it before they can enjoy the completed episode. With the confirmation of SMBX 2.0, as soon as it releases, I will go around and revamp most of the levels to accommodate for the new features, namely new characters like Rosalina and this "Ninja Bomberman" character as well as the new features brought to the table by LunaLua. More levels that test the new characters' skills will be included as a way to get used to those characters, and other levels will incorporate Lua features.
A new trailer is also in the works. It'll be up by January.

Was that really a necessary reason to bump this topic?
I actually don't really mind to be honest. I would really like some support from you guys as I work through this project. I haven't had much time to work on it because I'm currently taking a break from SMBX due to lack of inspiration and the general idea of the community to use Lua wherever appropriate, which will require me having to spend time watching tutorial videos and going through all my levels to see if Lua would be appropriate. But I will come back to this in the near future!

You can if you wish! Did you play the original when you were younger?
However, now brings us a very important update regarding this project. I haven't had much time to work on it recently due to real-life matters including exams and romantic concerns (including a break-up!), but I've been silently working on it without notifying of any update, and with this being said, a new trailer for the remake has been created! This took me quite a while to make which included recording myself playing through all the levels and putting all the clips together, and trying to make it movie-like. Here it is!
