Are the staff too strict? [POLL]

I really wouldn't generalise there, there are staffers that are too strict sometimes, especially regarding things like the change topic (DM and Joey a little, but Joey not so much), but people like you, Pseudo, Valtteri or TNT aren't really too strict.

I generalized on purpose. This is about the team, not specific people on the team.

I honestly don't see how they are strict by their actions since everything as of what I see so far runs just fine... as long as nothing gets wrong by any means but everyone has their own Actions to take care of it.

I don't think you guys (the staff) are strict. We just have a lot of users that need to be......how do I say this without being mean....ah yes. Re educated.

I'm probably going to change my vote to no.

In terms of rule enforcing, the staff team excel at it. They might not be the fastest at times, but they do what needs to be done. They could work on the way they handle community affairs, but other than that, I don't see any problems.

i don't think the staff is strict, i just think it's...selective

paperplayer had like 3 posts reported where he outright flamed people and iirc he got warnings and shit and he got banned after a while

qig was passive agressive against people and he got instantly banned or something

As I said to you, paperplayer wasn't reported so nobody on the staff team read his post while qig was because a bunch of staff were active in the thread at the time. This is why it's important to use the report button rather than call someone out for breaking the rules/backseat moderating.

PaperPlayer's posts were reported several times over, you can't say they weren't reported because I actually remember reporting some of them!

Staff are too strict, and in a way, unfair. They will lock forum games, but mafia is a forum game. Mafia does not get locked, when the others do. How is this fair?

Forum Games only purpose is to make spam posts aka like Count to whatever, Describe this etc. IIRC Joey made a poll if people want to do Mafia and the majority voted Yes. Mafia may be a forum game but:

- Mafia doesn't make people do postcount++
- Mafia isn't stupid like almost all other forum games
- Like Bossedit said it has a purpose not like other forum games
- Mafia doesn't end up with post like ever 5 seconds

In the end forum aren't allowed bc they spammy, make people do postcount++, end up with a lot of 1 word posts which in general aren't allowed either.

So basically: Mafia is not a spammy forum game. Deal with it.
