There is Nobody Left to Trust
Also known as the sequel to Spacebase 115, as Spacebase 115 was a sequel to A Lonely Voyage.

20 Players (4 Mafia, 5 Utility, 10 Town, 1 Third Party)
Cardflip
Ballot-Box Game
If the amount of living Innocent members equals the amount of living Traitor members and the Visitor is dead, the Traitors win.
If the Traitors and the Visitor are dead, the Innocent win.
If everyone but the Visitor is dead, the Visitor wins.

Although the crew of Spacebase 115 was triumphant in ridding of the traitors, people are still reminded of the tragic loss of the Celtan Gardè that was lost in an attack by traitors. After extensive searching, it was found that the menace in both attacks was hired by a crime lord that goes by an undisclosed name, and that he plans on launching more attacks in the future. It is unsure why he is launching these attacks, and what message he is trying to send, but all that is known is that he must be eliminated. Recently, a small colony was set up on the planet Dunaris-K7 and is to act as a trade checkpoint between the colonies. It is predicted that this small colony is the perfect target for one of these attacks, and so preparations have been made for any traitorous acts.

In this ballot-box game, players send their lynch votes to the host privately. At the end of the lynching period (which is the beginning of night), every single vote will be revealed and the person with the highest vote count will be lynched off. Instas will not happen in this game, and the only time that day can end is either when everyone has sent in a lynch vote or when time is up.

-Traitors-
Traitor Leader: Decides with the other Traitors on who to kill each night. He is immune to being night killed.
Traitor: Decides with the other Traitors on who to kill each night.
Jury-Rigger: Decides with the other Traitors on who to kill each night. Each day, he may jury-rig the votes, allowing him to change the vote of one person to another target, or he may paint a player any color, the paint lasts until the next day. He may not paint the same player more than once.
Spy: Decides with the other Traitors on who to kill each night. Can inspect a player each night. Cardflips black when inspected.

-Innocents-
Colony Leader: Can inspect a player each night. That player's color will be revealed to the Colony Leader only.
Doctor: Can choose a player each day, that player is immune to being night killed until the next day.
Security Guard: Can choose to kill any player at night. If he kills an innocent, he loses his ability for one night.
Agent: Can choose to kill any player at night. If he kills an innocent, he is automatically lynched off. Cardflips black when inspected.
Messenger: Just like a normal Colonist, only when they die, they may send a single message to any one living player of their choice.
Colonist (x10): A normal player with no special abilities. They vote each day to get someone lynched.

-Third Party-
The Visitor: You are a mysterious visitor to the small colony. Nobody is sure what your intentions are, and they take you for a normal tourist. Each night, you can choose to kill any player. You win if you are the last man standing.

The Traitors win if the amount of living Innocent members equals the amount of living Traitor members and the Visitor is dead.
The Innocents win if they kill off all of the Traitors and the Visitor.
The Visitor wins if they are the last player alive.
When the Messenger dies and they wish to send a private message to another player, they must PM the host with the message they wish to send, and the host will PM the chosen player with that message.
If a player is inactive, they will be turned into a Phantom. If a player returns from inactivity after becoming a Phantom, they will be given back their role. However, if a player does not return from inactivity after a day/night cycle completes, a substitute will be found for their role and they will be kicked out of the game. A Phantom player may not be targeted by abilities, lynch votes, or night kills.

That person will be unable to speak during the next day, unless an insta occurs. If an insta occurs, he may reply once with, "I am blackmailed." Cardflips red upon death or inspection. If the Mafioso and Godfather die, the Blackmailer becomes a Mafioso and loses his ability (unlike the Mafioso, who turns into a Godfather).
Mafioso - A Mafia member working their way to the top. Cardflips red upon death or inspection. If the Godfather dies, the Mafioso gains his night immunity and inspection color.

Doctor - A surgeon trained in healing wounds. Can heal one person each night to prevent them from dying. Cannot heal the same person twice in a row. Cardflips blue upon death or inspection.
Jailor - A warden who detains suspects for questioning. Can jail one person each night. That person will be roleblocked and night immune while jailed. The jailor may also decide whether or not to execute the prisoner. If he executes a townsperson, he loses the ability to execute but can still jail people. If he jails the Serial Killer and does not decide to execute them, they will be killed instead of the Serial Killer's normal target. Cardflips blue upon death or inspection.
Escort - A beautiful woman skilled in distraction. Can block one person's ability each night, including Mafia kills. Cardflips blue upon death or inspection.
Doublevoter - A charismatic townsperson. Lynch vote counts double. Thinks they are a normal townsperson. Cardflips green upon death or inspection.
Townsperson - A citizen of the town. Has no special abilities. Cardflips green upon death or inspection.
Townsperson - A citizen of the town. Has no special abilities. Cardflips green upon death or inspection.
Townsperson - A citizen of the town. Has no special abilities. Cardflips green upon death or inspection.
Townsperson - A citizen of the town. Has no special abilities. Cardflips green upon death or inspection.
Townsperson - A citizen of the town. Has no special abilities. Cardflips green upon death or inspection.
Townsperson - A citizen of the town. Has no special abilities. Cardflips green upon death or inspection.
Miller - A citizen of the town. Thinks they are a townsperson. Has no special abilities. Cardflips red upon inspection, but green upon death.

Witch - A strange woman who can mind control people. Can choose two people each night. Those people will target each other instead of their normal targets, but they will not be notified. Cardflips purple upon death or inspection.
Serial Killer - A crazed maniac who wants everyone to die. Can kill one person each night. Immune to nightkills. Cardflips orange upon death or inspection.

Win Conditions:
Spoiler: show
  • The Mafia wins if they successfully eliminate the Serial Killer and they make up a majority of the players, discounting the Witch.
  • The Town wins if they successfully eliminate the Mafia, Witch, and Serial Killer.
  • The Witch wins with both the Mafia and Serial Killer if she is still alive.
  • The Serial Killer wins if he successfully eliminates all other players, with the exception of the Witch.

I think that the Blackmailer and Jailer's roles are a little too much, but other than that, it looks great. I also like what you done with the Miller.

The BM and Jailor usually work out pretty well in ToS.

Nah, its cool, I'm not using that one again. Like, ever.

It seems really complicated. Is all the KO stuff really nessecary?
also the GMs don't like percentage-based mechanics

I dunno, seems like it wouldn't be long enough otherwise. Maybe I can remove it though.

This is a simple fraction game. There should be more fraction games though. Tell me how it is and what you would do to change it.

Both sides are at war, people fight on these sides to determine the main leader to government Earth. Judah, the God of angel and Earth, Hades, God of the underworld and demon, and the side that killed them both, the neutral side, both dark and light, those who fight to live in a world govern by the gods higher ups. Who would win, who would lose, and what would happen to the planet of earth? Fnd out in this fraction game called...

Battle of Light and Dark - 10 - cardflip - General mafia games you see everywhere

Angels

Archangel - Can either choose to inspect a player a night or kill a player a night. Can not do both, can alternate between the two.

Guardian Angel - Can protect a player a night from dying. Like a doctor, so can only self-heal once.

Fallen Angel - Can Silence a player each night, or can role block a playet each night. Can only choose one or the other, can alternate between the two. Red because his twisted heart belongs to the underworld.

Demons

Demon - Can choose to kill or silence a player each night. Can not do both, can alternate between the two.

Demon-Spawn Newly born, so their lynch vote they cast equals 2 and can not be nightkilled for 1 night.

Half-Demon Half Human, Half Demon, can survive one lynch or night kill (which ever one comes first) and protect someone, but will die and kill there person who tried to kill them.

Dolphins

Dolphin - A dolphin that can survive by going underwater, csn only do this 3 times.

Seal A seal who thinks they are a dolphin. Can breath fire, use lightsabers, and float n the like superman, so can protect him self by doing what a dolphin does, but can kill the person wgo tries to kill them instead. Can only do it 3 times.

Neutral

Michael- An Angel who became a Fallen Angel, who became a Demon, who kills gods due to them hurting those he loves, can kill a player each night, silence a player, or can inspect a player wach night. Can only Choose one, throught the whole game.

Faith - Michael's lover, can protect, roleblock, or have lynch vote count for 2. Can choose only one throughout the whole game.

Regular fraction game mechanics, no one knows there team members, and must find out.
Angels win if the are the last team left.
Demons win if they are the last te left.
Neutral wins if both Angels and Demons are dead.
Dolphins win with Neutral or if they are last ones left

[setup and stuff]
So, let's assume I'm playing the Demon role. Since I don't know my faction members, and have no almost way of finding them, it's probably optimal for me to kill as if I were a Serial Killer. If the Archangel investigates me, I die. I have a two in nine chance of trying to kill the a fellow Demon and failing N1. Protection roles mean my target might not be a friend however. Also, I could hit the Seal and die. As for lynch strategies, unless I find a friend, it's random time.

Let's try Archangel. In this case, my position is probably stronger. On odd nights I can investigate people, and if they don't flip Angel, kill them the next night. If they are the Angel, I get an ally. Green is a risky kill, however, since they might be the Seal! As for lynch strategies, unless I find a friend, it's random time.

Fallen Angel is screwed, as they can't link up with their faction. Guardian Angel should only protect on Odd Nights until the Archangel contacts them.

Demon Spawn is slightly less screwed than Fallen Angel, as they might be able to link up with their faction. Half-Demon might link up, however this costs them their deathproof ability.

Seal/Dolphin have no way to decide if they will be targeted. Once they link up with neutrals, however, things get bad for everyone else.

Faith - Be protector, protect and random until Michael finds you. Form mega-zord with Greens, win game.

Michael - Pick Cop. Each night, I have a 4 in 9 chance of finding Faith, or a Green. Either way, since we all win together, we want to form the Mega-Zord. However, if I die, Greens and Neutrals are screwed.

Lynch tactics basically boil down to random for the Archangel and Demon, while Neutrals and Greens want to prevent lynches until they form the Mega-Zord. Then they form the largest voting block in the game, and win.

The primary problem here is that nobody has any friends to start with. This makes lynching and killing fairly risky. But for the Demon, failed kills are the only way to find friends.
The second problem is what I've termed the Mega-Zord. The Greens can win with the Grays, making the Gs effectively one faction. Since the Gs can have a Cop, it's easier for them to link up, and start lynching people. If at any point the linked Gs make up half the players, they win.
Finally, a game without a Town can't really be an open setup, since if faction members don't know each other, you don't know who to kill. And if you know each other, and the game is open, lynching strategy become weird. You need to simultaneously distance yourself from your team, while preventing them from being lynched. Except if everyone is evil, defending someone is almost admitting to being on the same team. In a closed setup, all the Mafia teams believe there is a Town, and thus are more likely to act normally.

So, I made a quick game. It's probably more funny than actually playable, but maybe a bit of input will help iron out the kinks.
M(insert cool number here): Mafiaception
"Everyone on the XBMS forum was incredibly excited the day Kangaroo announced he was planning on adding a new game to the forum: Mafia. They had no idea that the forum was about to be attacked through this seemingly innocent game...
A member of the forum Kangaroo had trusted with admin, Tails96, had somehow been offended and was planning on deleting the forum, but several members would be able to prevent this from happening: Vailtery, DeadEagle, DynamiteDoctor, and of course Kangaroo. So he made a few dupe accounts to help him should he be found out. He also masked everyone's username with some other name to make everything even more confusing!
In addition to all this, some jerk has been stealing graphics! We don't know who it is, but he (she?) has to be stopped! The future of the XMBS forum is in limbo!"

Cardflip
Ability usage is optional.

Mafia:
They plot together to ban one member a night. Their goal is to ban all the admins. Also, one of the members listed here isn't actually part of the mafia, but still seems pretty suspicious because of his (her?) color.
Tails96 - A mafia member who can tempban someone every night and keep them from posting for 24 hours. When he is banned, he passes his ability on to one of his dupes.
Silver96- Possibly of Tails96's dupes. Has no special abilities.
Sonic96- Possibly of Tails96's dupes. Has no special abilities.
Amy96- Possibly of Tails96's dupes. Has no special abilities.

Admins:
They do their best to keep everything under control, but even they can't prevent everything. Their goal is to work together with the regular members to ban Tails96.
Kangaroo - An admin who owns the forums. He can check someone's account every night and learn of their true username and color.
Vailtery - An admin whos name is a mystery to all mankind. He can unban a member once every three nights, starting on night three.
DeadEagle - An admin who can't be banned at night. I mean, it's kind of disrespectful to ban someone who's already dead, right?
DynamiteDocotor - An admin who can ban someone once a night. If he bans an innocent, then he gets demoted - can't have someone banning random people for no reason, right?

Ordinary, Unspecial, Insignificant Members:
They don't really know what's going on, but they just like to make drama and ban random people. Hopefully they'll end up banning Tails96 and not the admins or each other!

Also, one member here is a Graphics Thief! It's unknown which one, but they have to be banned in order for the game to end. Also, DrachirYrneh is undoubtibly the coolest member of all.

I could remove it, but then it wouldn't be as entertaining. I'll think about it tho

They could just say "yeah alright the first 5 greens on the list claim pls" and since we got only 4 Mafiaas, one of them has to get claimed once. This person can be seen as confirmed. We could actually just have all greens claim and get 6 confirmed greens. These can then communicate with each other and get claimed towards.

What.
Game starts. We have all the greens claim. If one of the green roles is claimed once, great, we got a confirmed innocent (to make things certain, we can also have everyone claim who is not a green). If one is claimed multiple times, great, one of them is Mafia. Doing this, the town has a great advantage.

What you do with named townies is just send the role PM, "you are one of the normal people woohoo" and then they can't know who they are unless they're special.

...Yeah I'll do that if I actually decide to host a game.

Thanks for bringing that up Nickname.
