Super Mario 1985 & Lost Levels

Postby atkins80 » Tue Mar 03, 2015 6:35 pm

Hi I just started this project, it will take some time but I managed to get 8 out of the 32 original levels done for the original Mario, I have a few screenshots to show, I also had to use the Mario 2 crystal ball exit because I can't seem to get the flag pole to function properly, I have the graphics with the flagpole from a graphics pack that I downloaded, but I only see part of the flag when I go to place it in the editor, well here is a screenshot of my latest work.

A working flag pole takes quite a few events to preform, and invisible axes and climable npc's

Hi, I have the flagpole graphics, but there is a slight problem with the flag itself, only half of the flag is showing and not the whole flag and it is appearing in the Super Mario World NPC section and not the SMB1 section of NPCs, here is a screenshot I made of it. Image

Find the size of the graphic in whichever software you are using, and keep the height firm on your memory. Make sure it is in pixels.
Make a Notepad document titled npc-(number). Don't write number; that's where the NPC number goes.
Type in:
gfx height=(gfxheight)
height=(height)

(height) and (gfxheight) are where you type in the graphic height.

Refresh your level by saving it again.
I hope that worked for you.

Here is a screenshot of World 4-1 I use maps with gimp and use the grid to count the number of tiles to make sure all is properly in place. Image
