Super Mario Bros 1 Remake

SCRAPPED. This is going to be scrapped due to the discovery of a new gfx pack that i wish to use. my goal was to complete this but i soon understood that since iv learned alot already that i should just go with my instinct and make my own unique episode. As fun as this was and was going to be i think it would be better off for me to just make my own unique episode. Im excited to do so cause i have so many ideas i could not implement into this remake. idk if it upsets anybody, srry if it does. but i feel i should just make my own thing. Idk how to remove this topic but if thats what should happen or this shouild be closed that would be fine. In about a week though my own personlized project will appear here in the project forum, and as a hint i will be using the remade smbx gfx pack and i am excited to start. This forum or whtever can be deleted or closed or however that works lol, sry im new >.<

If you stick to a particular look like SMB3, SMB1, SMB2, or SMW this would look a lot better. Sometimes, certain tilesets do not look well together like the Mario World ones and the SMB3 ones. Also there is some cutoff in the third screenshot.

that is true but i chose to do multiple tiles sets and stuff cause thats how i chose to do it, to you it may look weird but from my point of view it looks pretty cool and different, which is what i was going for lol, and i notice what you mean in the third screenshot, im usually particular about that especially with the block tiles. i must fix it or its gonna bug me >.<

Lol the screenshots are just examples of how I did the tiles. And like I said. This is my first episode. Srry of you don't like how the tiles mesh. I'm learning lol. But thanks for your view ^.^

I'd suggest to stick to one style (maybe SMB1, since this is a SMB1 remake), like Epoch said. Also, you should put more BGOS in my opinion.

Lol I know what you meant the whom time, yeah... The whole time lol jk jk. Yeah I know what you mean and there are more once you get to world 2. In the first work I was just focused on the tile placing and getting used to warps and stuff lol

Why can't you just place them now lmao

Also the underwater screen is 2-2 if I'm not mistaken and that is like the most bland screenshot and it's World 2, at least it's definitely not World 1

I know but im trying to copy from the maps from the original, the original only had the pink coral in it, but dont worry this feedback is helping lol, i plan on changing some things. and yeah i just happened to take that screenshot away from everything :P ACTUALLY!! that does give me some motivation to try a new gfx pack, I found the totally redrawn smbx graphics pack, what do yall think of me using the redrawn graphics for smb1?? i can redo the levels to make them more smb1 friendly and add more stuff, MOTIVATION WOOOO lol, heres the gfx pack i was talking about. and i probably wont use all the redone gfx, i will probably just use the ground tiles, block tiles, and stuff like that, not the enemies cause i dont like the redrawn enemies as much in the pack
