Topic locked for no reason

I decided to make a forum game on the Sandbox board, and after about 10 minutes I checked the Sandbox board and the topic was locked. I clicked on it, expecting to see a reason...

That's just weird.PNG

Some dumbass locked it with no reason.
I am not one of the people who rage when their topic is locked, but a topic getting locked with no reason at all is just stupid.

Forum games are against the rules. Usually people post the lock reasons, however.

Ugh, I didn't know Forum Games were against the rules.
But the person who locked it could have at least given a reason...

if your post is obviously against the rules, mods shouldn't need to give a reason as to why they locked it

Well, if I were them, I'd assume that no forum games was a rule that basically everyone knew by now... hence why s/he didn't post.

To be fair, I don't think forum games are mentioned in the forum rules. This user is clearly new and doesn't know from past experience here that we don't allow forum games.

Unlocking this since I want to pose a question: Are the rules not direct and clear enough?

Forum games aren't mentioned specifically in the rules, however the second rule is to follow common posting habits and not make meaningless posts. This would mean forum games aren't allowed since they're not common here, and they're doubly non-allowed by not creating meaningful discussions. This is starting to become a problem since the the other thread by dagget10 titled "Moderators Removing Stories" has the same problem with people not seeing spam threads created by bots as against the rules. The topic was dealing with a deleted thread that was in Japanese about a comic which would clearly violate the English rule.

I also added a point in the Sandbox topic guidelines about forum games, by the way.

No, because sometimes they are actually a chain of stories.
