ATTENTION ALL SMBX USERS READING THIS POST:
I had to restart my computer and delete all of my files, so Super Sonic Bros X has been cancelled. I tried to save the levels and graphics onto an SD card, but that did not work. Now, I have to start all over, but I don't want to have to make the whole game all over again with the screenshots not matching. I am deeply sorry for everyone who is wanting this game to come out, but every time I make an SMBX episode, something goes wrong and I have to delete my files. Sorry everyone...

Hi, I've moved your topic to Projects. The Episodes forum is for completed episodes with a working download link, not works in progress. Thanks for understanding.

Ugh, not to complain, but there's a fifty-fifty chance my topic is in the wrong section. It gets SO annoying for me, it's like, "Why does this happen!?", y'know?

You might want to give your level more detail such as bgos and ncps.

What do you expect? I'm only 13 years old...

Again age doesn't matter to use bgos and more. Thats not a valid excuse imo.

Well, I don't know what other people think, but I think your game sounds very interesting so far. Sure, you may not have a lot of background objects, but that's OK because I know when I was around your age, I didn't have a bunch of BGOs at the time either. I also understand that making a game is very hard, so you just making the level can be difficult. Also, in my opinion age does matter! I know the younger you are the harder it is to do things. Also it takes longer. You know, when I was making my first game, it had 12 worlds! I was about a year older than you at the time. But then something terrible happened... An error appeared when I was trying to play my game. Basically, I had to delete it. Anyway, my over all point is that for your age the game looks totally awesome! Oh and one more thing, when I first joined the forums, my threads were a bit messed up too. Anyway, keep making your game and working hard at it!

Thanks! I think it's awesome that your game had 12 worlds, and I really want to see it! But it's sad that an error occurred and you deleted it, but you can make another game right? Anyway, thanks for the positive comments!

So, if someone is 13, he can ignore negative criticism and continue making boring levels without BGOs just because it's 13 and for his age those levels are "awesome"?
And by the way, when I was 13 I made a level which is now in the best section (but only because it was used in a contest and got a 9 from one judge, but the average score is 7.08). So, don't use age as excuse of making boring levels.
As for the screens, it looks like there are no NPCs, and they look really boring. There are also many unfitting BGOs, like those ghost house BGOs in the 3rd screen under the spoiler of level 2. The levels also need more BGOs overall.

Well RudeGuy07, you might like my game when I add the glitch area in world 1. Each world has a level TOTALLY unrelated to the world, so wait and see...

I am gonna say that this project looks very decent and to be honest, a game shouldn't really have super massive custom graphics to place in and having a lot of background objects that makes a level more unique. You can always make some classical episodes and still enjoy the game even for a lot of complains or no complains like "Super Mario World". Also, I can see that you use the 2nd player mode and screenshot something which to be honest, almost no one ever did that and you did this which is a bonus on my book.
No matter what, there is something always original in everyone's smbx projects so with that, I am looking forward to this.

Well, as I told RudeGuy07, there will be a level in each world that will have EXACTLY NOTHING to do with the world. In world 1, there will be a Glitch Data Area, it will be a glitchy and messed up level, and a very fun level in my opinion. I'll post some screenshots of it when I'm done.
EDIT: Finished! Check out the screenshots!

You do know that custom graphics is not a necessarity to make a SMBX Level or Episodes in order to make a game good. You can always make something without it and still have a enjoyable time to play games like in The Invasion (very first SMBX Episode ever created made by @redigit).

Honestly, I think that while the rest of the game is mediocre, the glitch level just looks... really bad. You can make a level based off glitches w/o just randomly placing blocks.

Good life advice:

I mean if people think your levels aren't that great, I wouldn't look for the cause in the people but instead in yourself. There are a lot of ways to make a glitch level enjoyable, and what you did isn't one of them. While I can see why the GFX for it wouldn't be outstanding, placing blocks randomly is not level design.

They just want to help you. Don't take everything like this.
