I'd like to know what people think of this song I composed for Super Mario - Bowser's Revenge, an SMBX game I'm currently working on. It will be used as dual theme music for the star palace at the end of the star world (with the other theme being Temporal Tower from PMD).
I also posted my ztar version of this if you'd like to hear that. It's certainly a lot creepier than this one.
I also have a SMW ghost house remix that I made a while ago. It's not the best music I've composed (or remixed in that case), but if you're interested in that, let me know and I'll post it too.
Remember, your feedback is more than welcome. That's the main reason that I posted this here anyway.

I decided to post this along with my Star Temple/Palace theme so that I could receive feedback on this as well. Please let me know what you think of it.

To answer your questions, I used Garage Band to make this. I don't really have access to that program at the moment, as I made this away from home, but it only took me about an hour and a half to make, maybe two.

I'm just wondering if it's supposed to take me longer than it actually did to make these things, considering they both took me about 2 hours each, and that's it. The star temple song was something I just played randomly, and the ztar thing was just me messing with the Luigi's Mansion theme, and then realizing that it sounded like a more demented version of my star temple theme.

This is another song that I composed for Super Mario - Bowser's Revenge. I had absolutely no plan with this one other than to make it a sort of water level-ish thing. This song was completely improvised, I just randomly played it. Again, please let me know what you think of it. I'll probably post my SMW ghost house remix here soon as well.

Ok, got it. People will just have to make sure to post which one they're replying to in the subject or something.

They could just say "I like/dislike/whatever ... because ..." or something.
Also, the music sounds really ambient, I'm not sure how well this'd fit with Mario, but I'll have to wait and see.

If you're implying Mario music can't be ambient, the soundtrack to Super Mario Galaxy and Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door would like to have a few words with you.

Most of the places these were used in had a calm atmosphere, like some place without any real dangee. Imo places like these don't quite transition into 2D.

"Dangee"
Anyway, the ztar thing is supposed to be ambient and mildly creepy, and I think it works well. It's for those areas in which you have no idea what's coming next, and you could die at any moment, but you have no idea when or how.
