Throwback Thursday

This is one of the Levels from my project Super Mario Great Green Gems and because i'm really generous I made a level for you guys to get the feel of the project or to see what it's like.
The Main Gimmick in this Level ,and in all the other levels in the project, is the Bonus Platform from the Crash Bandicoot Series. Enjoy :D .

So, why is this called "Throwback Thursday" if it's not a throwback to anything? Sure, it uses Throwback Galaxy's song, but that's no excuse. Heck, this wasn't even uploaded on a Thursday!

Anyway, my review:

Wow, this was quite a lot of the same stuff over and over; nothing is inherently wrong with the level design, but it certainly overstayed its welcome. Even the "bonus" section didn't seem any different from the main part of the level whatsoever, similar to Sky Land from Airship's 4th level contest. Even if the bonus isn't that difficult to reach, it should still be differentiated from the rest of the level in order to count as a bonus instead of a pointless extension of the level. Heck, two of the dragon coins are collected the exact same way (spin-jumping on yellow SMW blocks)! Speaking of the dragon coins, the last one is extremely unintuitive to get since there's isn't any indication for the invisible block required to reach said dragon coin; at least put a few coins around it so that there's some indication of where it is. As for the rest of the level, it's basically just the same stuff over and over; just some Goombas, Koopas, and Rexes on what is basically flat ground interrupted by the occasional pit or pipe. Honestly, I got sick of this pattern when I made it to the halfway point.

Summary:
GOOD:
-Graphics aren't terrible.
-Music fits the level okay.

BAD:
-It's basically just the same stuff over and over.
-Bonus section doesn't add anything to the level.
-Unintuitive dragon coin.
-It's basically just the same stuff over and over.

In conclusion: This level is too long and too repetitive to be enjoyable. Either make shorter levels or make more varied levels. I'd say this deserves a 4/10.
