Yes I'm fine with that, but this is more of a "quality over quantity" episode, so it should definitely not take thirteen hours.

Okay, but it took that long for me to bet Luigi' fight for the Mushroom Kingdom the first time! I never uploaded it since it crashed due to video length or a random reason! I record til I have to go eat, go to school, go to the store, beat the game, go to sleep or the like! I will eat while recording if there is a cutscen and the mic I off, but still! If i do this Sunday, I might be able to record 100% in one video!

It is very nice to see, that this project is now almost done. And with about 1% left to work, it should be sure to get finished too ^^.
When this gets done, I will play it for sure, as I hunger for SMB2-levels very much xD.
Also, judging by the screens, the level-design looks playful and funny.
Good luck for the finishing touches :-)

Over the course of 2014, I've been involved with 2 projects using this exact concept, so I know what you were getting into when making this. The scale of projects like this is enormous and for them to work well you gotta have tons of ideas and a lot of space.
From the looks of it, you have a billion varying areas which you showcase in your screens, presenting the interconnections between everything in this world. So the idea aspect is there, as no area in these screens looks the same. Well done.
However, most areas look really, REALLY cramped. I can understand that if you had problems with the block limit per area, but Muddy and I found a solution to this when we tackled this together with Darkonius, namely splitting every level or area into 2 again. We ended up with 6 areas consisting of 3 areas each by themselves, and put it on indefinite hiatus because of that. But that's a different story.
What I'm trying to say is that the cramped nature of these areas kinda kills it for me. Some side areas are just a little box with 2 doors and nothing there. Damn. This could be a full-length section with some obstacles and secrets to find. I'd dig that.
Something I'd like to see here is a way to traverse areas quickly, aquired by the stars you mention in the OP, maybe:
Calling back to Mud, Darky and my project, we had a special hub world which serves as a warp to areas you've already been to. This can be done with some SMW stars and layer-hiding and it shortens travel by a lot, if, say, the player wants to walk from a Volcano area to a Snow area. Usually they aren't geographically close to each other.
Other than that, respect for pulling yourself together to get through this mess of designing a spider web style episode.

Thanks for the feedback. At this point I'm not willing to make big design changes. The screens might look cramped, but that was also because I wanted to present "attractive" screenshots and thus tried to include everything and the kitchen sink in them. So far I haven't gotten feedback from the beta testers that there is too much stuff in the areas. Hopefully the screens did not kill it too much for you and you'd still be willing to play the full version.
Speaking of, the full version should be out before christmas.

You could've opened paint and mashed together some parts from some screens, just advice for the future. Everything looks better with glow applied ;D
I doubt I'll get around to playing this, sadly. My holidays will probably be occupied by anime, drawing and Smash Bros 4 and I rarely ever play SMBX anyways. I might watch a playthrough though

I just beat the beta with eight stars and there is some things I consider game breaking! The video is three hours approximately, but I will let you know when it is done! I list the errors in he video and video description!

When I said this project was 99% complete, it was more like 85%, I ended up adding quite a lot of stuff. But now everything is finished and I'm doing some very last tweaks and testing. Estimated release date is tomorrow, sunday the 21st.

I have tried to fix everything to the very best of my ability. There were some flaws that you probably did not even realize. For example, as I had not tested everything with Peach, I had no idea you could fly straight to the green switch in the first room of Hazy Hollow. That allowed you to skip quite a lot of the first part of the episode.
There is not going to be any more beta testing. Once I've finished my last playthrough, the episode will be released, and I will react to any bug reports people send and upload new versions if necessary.
