Weird Forum Question

So I was looking at Joey's profile (don't ask why) and I noticed this:

Look at the end part of the link. It says viewprofile&u=2. I get the view profile part but what I don't get is u=2 at the end. I mean, I know that u most likely means user, by if Joey is the creator of the forum why would he get the title number 2?
So then I went to the next user ever registered on here which is Valtteri, and here is his profile link address:

This time it says u=51 and that Valtteri's number is 51. But how is that possible if he is the second user to ever join and he gets such a non-explainable number like 51. What's the point of the huge jump.
Every member after Valtteri has a normal user profile count (i.e. Ignoritus - 52, Karl Marx - 53, etc.).
Now I have handled forums before, and I know that forums have exactly fifty bots so that may explain the huge jump from Joey to Valtteri but my questions are:
1. Are they really bots? I want to know if I'm correct.
2. Why is Joey user #2 if he is the creator of the forum?
Oh and this is what happens when you try to search user numbers 1 or 3-50:

I'm just curious is all, I've been wondering about this for a while I would appreciate if you answered my questions.

Its the same with forum topics iirc.

The first topic made is always topic=2.

And yes, the other users in between are bots

It's how phpBB organizes users and bots. I believe the reason for Joey being the second member has to do with the default Administrator account that's created when a forum is generated.

What's this? I never heard of such a thing, what does it do? I thought the forum creator is the default admin?

There's a maintenance bot in there in case the founder gets hacked, iirc

The first user is the user whom installs the forums, which is set up during installation. The user could have been deleted, as it doesn't seem to exists. Also there are around 50 search bots/spiders installed automatically, which take up the next 50 slots after the founder.

Here's what the ID numbers for topics mean:

1 = Anonymous (guest account)
2 = Joey (forum creator)
3-50 = Bots
51 = Valtteri (with the rest of the users following)

As for topics, ID number 1 is the initial "Welcome to phpBB3!" post that appears when you install the forum.

By guest account, do you mean what Guests use to view these forums?

If I wanted to, I could allow guests to post here. That feature is disabled though, obviously.

So...yes and no. Really just if they were to post.

Fun Fact: I was the 20th member on the member list of Knux's Forums, Joey's Forums, and SMBX:R, although my ID across both Knux's and Joey's were not the same as there were probably users before me that got deleted, and I think their ID was still stored in the forums.

This is very interesting. I checked http://www.smbxgame.com/forums/m ... ile&u=1and 3-50. It said, "This requested user does not existed"

JOEY, WHAT DID YOU DO?

Also I checked mine, and I'm number 225, and I think it means I'm the 225th member on the forums.

The profile with the number 1 is the anonymous or guest profile, as Joey said before.
