SMBX 1.3.0.1 won't install!

I am using 64-bit Windows 8.1, and when I try to install the program, this error comes up as soon as the install starts:

What's going on? How can I stop it?

I think you have to use 32-bit Windows

Back when SMBX 1.3.0.1 was released, there were problems that involved SMBX not running on x86 machines. Now it's the exact opposite.

But I doubt that me running a 64-bit system is the problem though, as I don't think that type of error can be caused by having the wrong number of bits on your system, it's probably a missing file or something.

Try looking up the error online, if there is a missing file you might be able to download the file.

OK, so I knew what you were talking about.

However, even when I have downloaded and registered MSWINSCK.OCX, it STILL gives me the same error! Am I doing something wrong!?

Well, I suppose you can't, but at least I am having enough fun on this forum to keep me occupied. For a while, at least.

Where are you downloading the installer from? This website? I can run it just fine and I have Windows 8.1 x64.

Where are you downloading the installer from? This website? I can run it just fine and I have Windows 8.1 x64.

Clicking "Download Now" on the homepage brings me to the forum post, where I clicked the Download button, which brought me to a website where I clicked "Download". It downloaded without any problems, but I couldn't install it due to the error.
