Yeah, I made a thread like this before as an April Fool's joke. But I'm not joking this time. I'm going to be leaving this community. Or at least I'll be considerably less active. I'm doing this for three reasons.
1. This doesn't have much to do with the community itself, but I have a YouTube channel (which just hit 10,000 subs!!!!) that is at a higher priority for me than this community is. Plus, I spend much more time playing Geometry Dash than SMBX. Which brings me to...
2. I'm just getting bored of SMBX. I like the GD editor much better, and I doubt that I'll use SMBX very much, aside from the contests (I still wanna be a judge, Valtteri
) and I MIGHT review some more levels every now & then. But I've pretty much moved past every video game that I've been "obsessed" with, and SMBX is no exception. And the last point, you all probably saw this coming...
3. TOO. MUCH. DRAMA. Seriously! I've NEVER seen a community where people argue so much! Even Pokemon Showdown argues less than this! And, no offense, but you guys argue over some really trivial stuff! 100 pages for example. Why is it such a big deal all of a sudden that the mods archive 100 page threads? Just stop complaining and make a new thread! What's the issue?
I DO think that the staff is partially to blame for this. Again, with the locking 100 page threads, most of the community voted against it. Now, while I didn't agree with that, the vast majority of the community did, and Joey COMPLETELY IGNORED IT. Quite frankly, that's pretty horrible staffing, and it seems like you place the community's input beneath your own opinions.
I liked the community how it was when I joined! It was just a cool place to hang out and talk about...well, pretty much anything! And now it seems like every week you guys find something to argue and complain about! I just want the community back how it was! And all of this drama is the main reason why I am leaving.
