One of the Castles from the NSMBX Collab. Well, it's more a Sanctuary then being a Castle. The start is based of the Episode Mario Classic. I took both starts and remade it. I only did do the start the rest is new.
Great Inspiration was Hydrocity.

I don't wanna spoil much bc that would take away the fun rn. Leave comments below bc i appreciate them. There are no unused gfx as they all have been removed. Also yes the muncher jumps are doable.

Comments:

This is a really nice water level with an interesting take on the wart bossfight. I like how you had to bypass certain hazards to hit the boss while evading his attacks, rather than just wait for him to open his mouth or avoid rinkas for 5 minutes. Like I said in IRC, some parts are rather cramped and the water boxes are half a block too high (which you should fix to avoid death from strange physics), but overall I really enjoyed playing this level! Keep it up!

Level Design and Atmosphere: Looks pretty good. This doesn't have flat or empty design in there, so it's not bad actually. The atmosphere looks quite good. The music fits a bit okay. The graphics look good, but not with a goomba one, because when you stomp on it, the graphic changes to the other style. But anyway, it looks good.

Placement: It was quite okay. There were placed a few munchers that made a level a bit more difficult. I kinda liked the platforms that are connected with Grinder, though.

Gameplay: Well, it was good, but in this screen, it's not, because you can skip the progress by jumping over the blocks in offscreen. Anyways, the level was not that hard, except the last section, which includes the Wart battle, and it was challenging and difficult to beat!

Overall: It was quite a good level with some errors that came here.

7.5/10

Things i fixed up now:

- Fixed the missing graphic for the goomba.
- Changed the placement of the enemies and added 2 npcs which are the fighter fly and the blooper
- Added invisible blocks so you can't skip that one part with the 2 blocks anymore.

I will do the music one if i find something that goes into it.

Water Sanctuary review

Design & Gameplay: 8.5/10 (counts 70%)
The level was quite fun to play. The level's difficulty is pretty fair: it's not too long, it's slightly challenging and the curve is good too. The level has replay value too, which is a good thing obviously. The NPC placement is quite good, also the variety is wide enough. The level wasn't repetitive to play, because there were different things that could keep me interested: sometimes the level acts like a regular castle, sometimes the player has to swim, sometimes there are munchers to avoid. Because of this, I was interested to play the level. The coin placement is well done too. The overall design of the level is pretty good and it's fun to play.
There is a Thwomp that's a bit hard to avoid, you could've placed it a bit better? (a bit before the last water part of section 1)

Atmosphere & Visuals: 8.5/10 (counts 30%)
This level has a great atmospheric feeling in my opinion. The level is quite good to look at it, it looks nice. There is a good amount of BGOs and the level didn't have clash, cutoffs or buggy death effects.
The music was slightly unfitting, but still acceptable.

Score: 8.5/10
