Big Bird Boss Battle

Hey SMBX community !
This is an original boss battle that works quite well in my opinion, with the boss flying around Mario at the top of a tower. Mario has to throw the eggs found in the monster's nest to defeat him, but beware ! Breaking the eggs might release the offspring of the beast that was growing inside !

I really liked this custom boss, The difficulty is well balanced and very unique compared to other bosses I've ever seen in SMBX, but ...
Early on, if the player does not break the egg, he can skip the boss and pass the level, too, if the player holding the egg and makes it just touching the boss, he will suffer damage and the egg will not break, thus making the boss get too easy.
I hope to see more custom boss their.

The skipping boss problem I had not noticed, thanks ! It can be fixed easily.
For the holding-the-egg problem... I know but I have no idea how to get around it. If anybody has any suggestion..

You can add this code in NPC's text file to fix the problem:
grabside=0

The boss isn't Big Bird from Sesame Street.
I'm disappointed.

Sorry for the misleading title Turtwig, wasn't intended.
h2643 if i did that it would also be impossible to throw anything at the boss which would kinda kill the entire battle

You can change the name to Radonkel. But it's now called Bird.

Good to know I wasn't the only one who thought of that.

Could you do a tutorial showing how you did this?

I don't really master the art of video making, sorry... But this boss wasn't very hard to create : I used a fireball from a fire bar to get the circular movement and attached the Boss to it. For the little pidgits, they are para goombas, I just messed a bit with their settings.

Big Bird Boss Battle by Eden - Review
Looks and Atmosphere
The arena isn't really big, however, it did have a nice atmosphere of it being a lonely tower in the skies. It really fit the level, and it really looked good for what it was. However, I think I saw the death effect of an NPC when going down the ladder after beating the boss. It also looked a bit weird when the eggs came out of the nest.
The music fits fairly well to the boss with it being the Final Boss Theme from Rayman Legends.
7/10
Design and Gameplay (counts double)
The core idea of using those eggs against the boss was quite good, however, I thought it to be fairly repetitive because nothing really changed during the bossfight. I'd suggest that you maybe make it so it gets a bit harder when he's more damaged for a better difficulty curve.
The physics when standing on the knocked-over pidgits also seemed kinda weird, it kept pushing me back.
Also, you can get in a state where you can't beat it if you knock the first egg off the tower without it ever cracking. At least you would, if you couldn't just skip the fight altogether: You can just jump down from the top platform without touching the egg and go through the door.
Aside from that, the boss was fairly standard. There wasn't much else to it, and it did get kinda repetitive.
4.5/10
Verdict
There wasn't too much to this boss battle, but it was still alright.
