Super Mario Bros. X Forums

Here's a list of everything that was planned/implemented as a part of today's maintenance:

Finished
- SMBX 1.3.0.1 (just the zipfile, not sure when the installer will come along)
- Faster webserver
- Addition of Level Designers group (for official episodes)
- Promotion of m4sterbr0s and Namyrr to Global Moderator
- Ranks

In progress
- Mailserver, so registration emails/emailing users will work
- New icons/buttons that aren't pixelated/blurred
- Adding something else that's featured
- Fixing any more bugs with the theme, or tweaking things so they look better
- Reorganizing/finishing pages of the rest of the site

I'll update this thread as things get finished. Also note that reghrhre has decided to step down from his administrator positions due to being busy with other matters.

By you saying there's is Level Designers now, I'm guessing there is going to be a new community episode coming up soon enough?
By the way, congratulations to the new staffers. Hmm, great job implementing what has already been done. I guess you can say you are implementing some things to make the quality of the forums even better. Sad though, that reghrhre decided to step down from the team. Thank you for implementing the ranks, I know it's not a big deal, but it's fair enough that we get to continue with the tradition as with other previous SMBX forums.

There isn't a new community episode coming up; the group was added instead because the New Great Castle Adventure is in the line of the official SMBX episodes (TGCA, Return to Yoshi's Island, etc.).

Oh um, okay, thanks for the reply. Still, great work Joey, you've done good by creating the forum, brought a lot of old members back too.

I like the new changes. For starters, the pages load way faster than they did before, and everything else has been nicely improved. Good work.

Yeah hopefully. I'm free on time so let me know if you need anything graphics-wise. Just doing a good deed. IMO, the site shouldn't have to look like the original site, really? It can look WAY BETTER actually.

There's nothing wrong with being unofficial. In fact, there's a certain amount to be said for being such big fans even without official support. But this forum and TNGCA are not official until Redigit says they are.

The way I see it, it's more of an official forum episode rather than an official SMBX episode. But, hey, NGCA has some of SMBX's first level designers behind it, so it could work both ways.

I some of the old episodes as well and is "The New Great Castle Adventure" a sequel to the first, or the same one but with a few bug fixes and deleted cookies?

I tested your permissions and you're able to access both the graphics forum and the requests subforum.

I can access the graphic requests, but not the graphics forum itself. Everytime I click it, it says "Welcome to nginx!". Might just be my computer.

Edit: Nevermind, it's fixed.

Thank you for bringing that up, actually - if anyone still sees "Welcome to nginx!", the KottNet webchat, or a picture of Squirtle when trying to access anything on the site, refresh the page. Clearing your cache can help, too.

It is more of a sequel. There are a couple of levels with reminiscent names, but they are completely new levels. It is more different from the first the The Invasion 2 is from The Invasion. Also, is there are chance of The Invasion 3 being added to the official episodes list? I actually haven't heard anything about it in a while.

The Invasion 3 is still early in development (two and a half worlds done?), so making it 'official' is not a possibility at this moment.

And its only on revived which is used as The Invasion 3 Forum now and Joey doesn't want it here anyway so all the progress is over there and not here.
