i hope you formulated that wrong because unless the game gets constantly updated and its popularity affects those updates in a negative way, the game's popularity doesnt affect how well it's designed and the general quality of the game.
Undertale's fanbase for example can be really awful, but what the people that like the game do doesnt affect the game itself.
