admins usually have special ranks to distinguish themselves from normal users even more than the alternate colour.

In addition, Redigit had a Final Fantasy IV character (Kain, to be specific) as a rank on the original SMBX forums. I decided to follow suit and give the admins here FFIV character ranks as well.

Ah, he had the Kain and Raccoon Mario ranks at two different points in the forum's history I guess. The Web Archive has different "most recent" snapshots for his user page and that thread, it seems, that's why they're displayed differently. Joey and I are both right.

Wow.....
The forums looked a lot different had so many different users back then.
What ever happened to those old users?
I'm guessing when the site's shut down occurred do to Nintendo suing Redigit, all those accounts got deleted.
I feel bad about the past of the SMBX forums.

Also, I was one of the users there in the past but I got permabanned because I was not old enough to join the forums v_v

You mean the forums of 2009-2010? Those were indeed closed because of Nintendo (I think) and after the community just switched forums for multiple times. This forum isn't the one of 2009-2010, it just looks similar.

Nah, the original forums were closed because Redigit was tired of managing them. Nintendo had nothing to do with it.

Pie Jacker was still around after those forums. All he did was stick in the IRC and stream his attempts at beating Lost Levels without getting a Game Over

Yeah, Pie-jacker has shown up on more recent SMBX forums a couple of times. He's registered here, in fact (user page) but only has 3 posts.

I figured out once a way to figure out the un-spoiled ranks, not telling how though.
