lol I was eventually going to do this xD It looks good, but the skin tone for the hands, feet, and tail should be blue and there should be a darker outline around the eyes.

It's been a while since I've seen a recolour done completely wrong. The only thing you did remotely right is the recolour of the shell, head and hair. The skin and eyes are absolutely atrocious to look at. The eye colours are basic paint.net colours which are generally shunned upon in the community because of how vibrant they are, making them more useful in a SMW environment, which isn't good since this community is obsessed with SMB3's colours.
The contrast on the eye is also way too large and solely removing the pupil is enough to call this more than a recolour. A lazily done restyle is what it'd call it.

The skin itself is just bad. I mean have you not looked at this and thought "well this light skin colour doesn't look like a lighter version of the medium skin colour, I should better change it to make it look better!"?? I can seriously not understand how you've missed this major factor when recolouring this part.

Besides that, drawing the red sunglasses removed part of the black outline, which you can clearly see. If this was intentional: It doesn't look good. If it wasn't: How could you've missed it?

I'm sorry but there's nothing redeemable about this recolour. I'm sure 95% of the community (5% generalized as people who have even less experience in making graphics than you do) would make their own recolour rather than using this if they need a Dark Bowser.

Sorry for ranting a bit, but even on a first graphic, these are things you should see! Especially if you're on a forum where you see graphics done right in every second thread! This graphic needs a bit of an overhaul before being acceptable. I suggest changing the colours on the eyes and skin to something which #1 fits with the rest of the sprite (less vibrant red) #2 has a good difference in brightness and contrast, as well as fix the outline you removed, be it by accident or intentionally.

LOL yes, I know it's pretty horrific. I'm planning to give it an entire overhaul (except for the shell and other parts you mentioned)
