Warez, piracy

Well, one of the most common things in the last 30 years is the warez and piracy.
What do you think about it? How often do you do piracy? What are the most common things you download via piracy?

I think warez is a smaller misdemeanor and it's not a big crime. (if you don't download 10 GB stuff per day) In my country, warez is pretty common in every case.

In our country:
1: Games are mostly downloaded via torrent or some people swap games after they installed (or completed) the game. Explain if it's not understandable: Tom, Jason and Mike bought 3 different games, everyone bought one. Tom bought Shovel Knight, Jason bought GTA5 and Mike bought Mortal Kombat X. They bought these games with joint money. After they installed the games on their computers, they swap. And once again. So they could make a $420 prize down to $140

2: Movies and TV shows are very different when it's warez. Movies aren't that effected by warez but TV shows are effected. (as I know)

3: Music - I don't know much about music

While it can be classified as theft, I really don't think piracy is that big a deal. One of the leading factors to piracy in the first place is a lack of funds to actually purchase things. I considered pirating GTA V to see if it worked on my system before buying it, but instead I went and bought it. I think the only game I have pirated and not bought so far is Darkest Dungeon, mainly because I feel it's slightly overpriced, but it's still an excellent game. While I would buy the games I want, living as a lower-class citizen in a world meant for the middle-class isn't something that allows me to do that.

Piracy is illegal. If you want to have a topic for something that's actually worth discussing, such as "why is piracy so bad" or "what constitutes piracy" or something like that, go ahead and create a topic for it. But we're not going to have an "lol i pirate stuff here's how" thread.
