Unless his HP is incredibly low or he has no pots, he shouldn't need the Nurse during a boss battle. That or his armor is shit and he should farm gp to upgrade it with the Tinkerer, and if he doesn't have the Tinkerer or he doesn't have the highest-tier armor available to him at the current time, he should work on getting those.

Soloing The Twins is pretty hard if you're a mage and/or underpowered, so you might need to get better equipment. Also stop using the Cutlass maybe and check to see what the max damage output of all the magic items you use is, you might not be dealing enough damage. If you have trouble as a mage trying to beat The Twins, the best I can tell you is to farm for melee armor and weapons and just go from there.

1. Nimbus Rod is a backup weapon, not a primary one. It's not going to work as your primary weapon.
2. Why the bloody hell are you using a Cutlass if you're a mage? That's grossly inefficient, especially against Probes.
3. If you need the Nurse to beat a boss there's a problem.
4. You have plenty of perfectly ranged and agile weapons.

Golden Shower isn't really a primary weapon either. Use it to apply Ichor and then switch to a higher dps weapon. Alternate every time the Ichor is lost. If the boss is immune to Ichor, don't bother. Keep a higher dps weapon on them.

It might FUNCTION, but its highly inefficient as you're wearing mage armor and presumably have mage accessories. It would be faster and easier to just kill them with a magic weapon.

Technically speaking? No you don't. However, the game punishes you for not sticking to your primary class since most damage buffs from armor and accessories are class-specific.

The ichor bullets plus either a shotgun or Uzi can work, but I need to find an Uzi first, also I place Nimbus clouds before every fight let alone they do 104 critical DMG while I spray spamtism (I think that's his name) with it.

Also do you have to kill plantera in order for eclipse to spawn?

I think you have to kill at least one endgame boss before you can start the Eclipse, but I could be wrong.

I'm pretty sure eclipses don't happen until you kill the mech bosses. Don't worry about it right now; it'll happen when it happens.

plantera is like the core boss to get anywhere after that point
