Wasn't super active, but still fun! Sucks that I died early, but there's always next time.

About you accidentally killing BlimpFruit, when hosting a Mafia game, you must look over the role use PMs multiple times to make sure you have everything sorted out. If you're busy, postpone the phase's end to a later time because it's better safe than sorry.

What happened was, I had already gotten Nien's and Bloodedge's PMs, then Choco told me to make Bloodedge the Red Fox, so I told Bloodedge, and then I had two consecutive PMs in the night actions folder from Bloodedge so I disregarded everything underneath it because I was tired and forgot that I was supposed to have two role usage PMs from Bloodedge.

Well, this game went pretty well overall.

I'm afraid of contacting known blues as a townsperson nowadays because I know they won't trust me, and that's probably for the best anyways. Nobody trusts anyone after Joey's play back in M16.

I'll post host signups now, by the way, since this thread exists.

Because I knew you were going to kill BlinpFruit, and I knew Bloodedge was in the "alliance" thing.

I think if the host is going to be a good host and will have mechanics like the last will, can they actually remember or be bothered to do the last will, and can they also remember to check everyone's abilities before going and doing everything? Excuses of "I was busy" are kind of dull if they're used almost all the time. If you can't find the time to properly host a game of Mafia, can you not bother hosting one at all?

The fact that BlimpFruit was killed when he should have been saved by Nien, a day phase was completely skipped, and my last will wasn't posted at all, isn't really good at all as that really throws the game in a random direction.

PSA: I'm not superhuman. I make mistakes.
RE: Forgetting Last Will: I fixed that as soon as I could.
RE: "I was busy": I never said that as an "excuse," I said it when I was unable to change the phase because I wasn't going to have internet access for the weekend. In fact, most of the mistakes I made were due to the schedule at which I changed the phases (which I tried to keep at around 8:45PM CST but could not maintain very well)
RE: You skipped a day phase: I never skipped a phase, just forgot to change the phase name in the topic title (unless I accidentally screwed it up due to that).

Nobody said you had to be superhuman to run a simple Mafia game. In fact, none of the previous Mafia hosts have made mistakes like this. These "mistakes" could have thrown the game in a certain direction favoring one side or the other. That's bad.
RE: Forgetting Last Will: I fixed that as soon as I could.
Still, if it's a mechanic that happens upon death, it shouldn't be that easy to forget to include it in the death message.

So, if you were going to be busy, why would you bother hosting a game of Mafia in the first place? While it's not something you need to devote all your time to, it's certainly something you need to pay attention to enough to not make as many mistakes as you did. It makes it seem like you cared little about what was actually going on in the game.

That's not how you host a Mafia game.

My schedule isn't exactly predictable this time of year. Either way, I don't feel like arguing about this considering it's over now and not really worth looking back on anyhow.

If you're still going to host a Mafia game, make sure you follow up on everything before ending a phase, else you can really cause problems for the game, like you almost did when BlimpFruit died.
