This topic is meant to discuss and talk about
Lord of the rings
Basically the only restriction of posting in this topic is that you must have seen the movie
So people who didnt, dont make useless posts like
"What is lord of the rings"
I personally am a great fan of lord of the rings
(kind off obvious since my username is a lord of the rings character) and i am curious if there are more like me on the forums!

Since it was a Prequel, then yeah I would.

I enjoyed all six movies, though my favorites from each trilogy, respectively, are The Fellowship of the Ring and The Desolation of Smaug.

I'm somewhat caught between The Desolation of Smaug and An Unexpected Journey when it comes to favorites, but I think The Desolation of Smaug wins because it has more adventure. The third movie was good and all, but it didn't focus as much on the dwarves as I'd like it to since they did nearly nothing, the fact that it didn't have as much adventure, and the fact that Smaug is never revealed to have an allegiance with Sauron, which I think could have been expanded upon (in the books, this is not true. In the movies, it is).
Yeah... but the third has the most action from the three Hobbit movies.

Books exist m8. As for following the books, the Lord of the Rings trilogy is more true to the series than The Hobbit was. I didn't really care for The Hobbit trilogy too much, what really killed it for me was possibly the large amounts of unnecessary CGI.
