New Super Mario Bros X

Added all power-ups from the NSMB series
Added the Spike Flower and the Spike Mushroom.
Added the Hammer Suit and the Hammer Power-Up.
Added the Chapulín Colorado Suit and the Chapulín Colorado Hammer (Replaces the Zelda Fairy Pendant).
Added the all power ups from the SMB3 and SMW series.
Added the Statue Leaf.

...Unless you're willing to spend MONTHS, possibly even YEARS making this, don't commit to this. Many people have tried, but only 2 are even being worked on, and none have been finished.

In some cases it has either back lack of time to put towards the project or simply lack of coding knowledge. NSMBX (New Super Mario Bros. X) or SMB:R (Super Mario Bros: Remastered) was the first biggest attempt, hence the NSMBX Forums, but it was cancelled. Xerx was leading this project with supermarioman so I would PM Xerx and ask him if you want to know the exact story behind NSMBX being cancelled. We've had smaller recreation attempts or people meesing with SMBX in Visual Basic, but of course without the source code and the almost incoherent coding within SMBX's decompiled code, it is something that can't really be done to expand SMBX.

The only two that are appearing to be going strong are PGE and VSMBX. While VSMBX will be more faithful to SMBX and continuing on from that, PGE will have the power to branch off and and recreate other games with configuration files. Now, GhostHawk and Wohlstand have great knowledge of coding to begin with, which is why they have both come so far, but they also have their own "teams" to help with development who also have a good amount of knowledge in that area or are a select few of Beta Testers.

Plus your sequel won't just come to life overnight, both of our current SMBX successo

Super Mario Bros X is a HUGE game that would take forever to recreate - especially in NSMB style. Wohlstand, for exaple, has been working about 13 months on PGE. It's been very sucessful, but only half complete. He probably won't have it finished until late this year - and he works really hard on it.

I'm not trying to make you feel like you can't do it - you of course could - but I don't want you to start working on something and stop because it's taking too long. If you don't give up, you can totally do it, and it'll be great!

While I do like them, they are not full sprite sheets. Unless you want characters to slide around without moving their legs, don't use those.
