"Mettle" is apparently a noun, though, so that doesn't work.

I worded it improperly because of my dialect, where people put certain nouns in odd positions. I don't remember what the dialect is called specifically, but it's apparently prominent in New England and Pennsylvania.

Calm down. This discussion isn't about your misspellings; it's about 8bitmushroom's improper use of "mettle."

Anyway:

Well, since you admit that it's incorrect, we may go our separate ways now.

Try asking various people that live around you what this mysterious dialect is called. I'd like to look it up and see if I can find a source besides yourself talking about it; until then, I can only assume that you're just making stuff up to try to cover for your mistake (or whoever told you that it was a dialect was trying to cover for his/her mistake).

8bit's from Massachusetts, so New England dialect?
And other than that, I can sense an argument that could break out here, please keep it civil.
