My review:
Atmosphere - 7/10: The level looked pretty nice. The tileset was a good choice, and you combined it very well with the ruins. I especially liked how you had some parts of the level inside the jungle, and other parts above the jungle. I would recommend putting trees in the inside of the jungle at least, because it's not much of a jungle without trees. Also, the BGOs did not correctly merge with the tileset, creating cutoff. I think you should either use auto-align, or create a black block to put under the BGOs. Apart from the things I pointed out, I saw no flaws. I liked both music choices, especially the boss music. However, the first mp3 seemed to have sounds that sounded like waves to me. I don't really think that fit in with the level.
Placement - 6/10: BGOs were nicely placed, as were coins. I also liked the clever Dragon Coins hidden throughout the level. I did think that the enemies were pretty cramped at times, especially in section 2. They were really hard to dodge and made that part kinda unfair. Overall, though, you did a good job placing everything in the level.
Gameplay - 7/10: I found the level to be fun. It had a pretty good difficulty, except for the cramped parts, and the boss did a good job matching the difficulty. Plus it was really fun, and cool how you set it up so the ground disappeared. I liked the different obstacles you used throughout the level, like the bird bills and fuzzies or whatever you call those things. They made it more unique in terms of gameplay.
Design - 8/10: The level was pretty well designed. It had a nice mixture of linear and nonlinear sections to make the design varied. The block placement was just a little flat, and it could have been a bit better which is what is keeping this score from being perfectly, along with the fact that there could have been even more variation in gimmicks and design. Still, I thought the level was well designed. So nice job with it.
Overall - 7/10: Approved
