DOWNLOAD V2 FOR UPDATED LEVEL

I thought of teasing my 2nd Project by sharing at least one of a few levels done in the Prolouge...

This level can be played as either Mario and/or Peach

The Secret exit DOES require Peach(floating ability)

ScreenShots:
Spoiler: show
ImageImageImageImageImageImage
Credits to GFX/MP3 in Read Me .txt
Level Name Idea goes to Squishy Rex

Downloadin' Link:
Version One
Version 2

EDIT:

>Changed Level Exit (I did have level wrap off when testing it was my mistake to have the old .lvl file that still did when testing)
>Added more content to level
>Made a peach-only Section

...you do test your levels, right?

Anyway, my review:

So, aside from the fact that the level is impossible to beat without getting the secret exit, this wasn't too bad. The level is kinda short, and it doesn't really have anything besides the standard Goombas and Koopas until after the checkpoint. I'm glad you were finally able to sprite-swap the Goombas' effect sprites, though it does look awkward that their "stomped" sprite is just them standing there. Also, you might have seen in the video that you forgot to include the sprite-swap for Mario's small frames; I wasn't using shadowstar. I'm curious as to why the yellow switch blocks are by the pipe leading to the secret since Peach can make it to the pipe without the blocks. Also, the part with the springboard and the mushroom blocks was annoying since, unless the player accidentally activates one of the invisible note blocks (since he/she won't know that they're there until afterward), he/she will have to backtrack more than necessary since the semifinal mushroom block is just above the player's jump height; I recommend making the note blocks visible. Lastly, the cave slopes have a noticeable masking error since, rather than use pure black (0R, 0G, 0B) and pure white (255R, 255G, 255B) for the see-through areas, they have 0R, 4G, 0B black for the main sprite and 254R, 255G, 252B white for the mask sprite.

Summary:
GOOD:
-Graphics aren't terrible.
-Music fits the level well.

BAD:
---LEVEL IS IMPOSSIBLE TO BEAT NORMALLY.
-Level is kinda short.
-Mario is missing...his sprites.
-Slopes' masking error.
-Low NPC variety.

In conclusion: Before you upload your level, make sure to test everything about it; you never know what can go wrong. I'd say this deserves a 1.5/10 (it's impossible, after all).

The fact I only play as Peach made me think about getting this level. Since you plan on updaing it, no need to download it til it is fixed! Thank you for the Peacb only area!
