Projectile NPCs Smoke effect

Is there a way to stop Projectile Generated NPCs from making the smoke poof when they spawn? Without removing the effect altogether?
I figured I might be able to somehow use the No Smoke option in events but... unsure, is this possible?

"No Smoke" might be able to do it. If you're not using that effect for anything else (but it sounds like you are), I would make a blank graphic replacement and use it as CGFX.

Well I have cannons and such which I want to have the smoke poof, just not generated NPCs. But I assume they both use the same effect file so replacing it with a blank wouldn't work?

Yeah, it would only really work if you weren't using it for anything else. Try out "No Smoke" - I think that's why that's there.
